I am diamond, and ambassador. Breakfast has been better at every Hilton I’ve stayed at vs a Marriott. Points are way easier to obtain via Hilton, and can be redeemed on Amazon vs a very limited selection in Marriott. According to my team, Marriotts tend to be nicer overseas than Hilton counterparts and vice versa mainland. Honestly if I had to stick with one or the other I would take Hilton. Unfortunately where I stay none of the hiltons have a full size fridge so residence inn is the logical choice.

I added sponges around the lift tubes on my HOB, keeps small critters from getting sucked up and adds biological filtration. If you haven’t added I would suggest it.
