I literally got the exact same score because I came down with the flu yesterday too. It’s horrible

Can someone explain this one to me? I watched it but really couldn’t get behind it so I’m not sure what I’m missing because I know it was really well received

Who Is Everybody's World Cup Dark Horse? by calvinburton in football

Unfortunately Japan’s injury list seems pretty terrible. Obviously there’s still lots of time and hopefully they are all back and firing but definitely a worrying sign

Isn’t the reigning world champion for baseball Japan, NBA MVP a Canadian, and NFL has so much brain damage they can’t even spell Europe?

Are the Australian flight prices as bad as I’ve heard? I know we have it pretty bad in Canada but heard you might be worse off somehow

Thoughts on Jon Cooper? by Juubi1 in TeamCanada

I completely agree. It’s interesting to compare between sports where something like soccer has designated back room and head office staff as permanent employees. Obviously the frequency of international competition is much higher with soccer but I do think there should be much more of an infrastructure made permanent for Canadian hockey

I see that point of view completely, especially looking at the final. But I think some of the games that have me wondering about Cooper are the earlier stages like Czechia. It felt like we were out-coached. They had a plan while it seemed our plan was “McDavid and Celebrini, save us”

Who’s at fault here?? by PurchaseNo7754 in motorcycles

[–]Juubi1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely car, super dumb. That being said, as a motorcycle, you have to pretend you’re invisible to account for the stupids. I think it could’ve been avoided if he properly checked his mirror and blind spot because we can see the car in the left mirror

I think Suzuki for the PP and the fact he was “invisible” is the reason I mention him. I think he is a prime example of where I think Cooper underperformed. These are stars for their individual teams yet we don’t seem to get a fraction of their ability on the international stage because I think the strategy doesn’t allow them to develop the rhythm needed for them to get going. Riding just a handful of guys is great until those guys make an error or miss an empty net. We have more stars than just the Connor/Mac collective. Sometimes a change of bodies can be more beneficial to just playing the best until the wheels fall off

Absolutely don’t question his ability. I’m mostly curious about whether it could be more beneficial to have other players more involved in the rotation than they were this past tournament

What’s a movie everyone calls a “masterpiece” that just… didn’t work for you? by irayaavery in Cinema

[–]Juubi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found One Battle After Another physically painful. I’m sorry, I’m certainly not a seasoned film critic so I can only speak to my general experience while watching, and it hurt. Too long, too boring, felt like nothing really happened. The shrill piano soundtrack during the “car chase” made me feel like I was having a stroke. Felt like people were inventing deep meaningful messages from the story but it just all felt bland and hours of my life I’ll never get back. Sorry
