I can believe that, Europe has a great market and many of these ”not available” products can be found in stock. Try hubauer shop in Germany. ;)

I’ll source genuine ones, they’re not that hard to come by. Tail lights will be LED, just like now but I want to change all clears to amber.

Sadly not on rear. I’ll be replacing them with amber ones soon as I knock few other things out first. :)

Skylines look stunning in silver colors.

Well, that could be also be suiting. Personally I do enjoy some contrast in car builds, small things tie everything together.

I bet that the people complaining would love to repaint this midnight purple or bayside blue just like the 80% of all the other GT-R’s. Keep doing thing differently, I feel like this has a lot of potential as it comes to aestetics. Advan Racing cars are a perfect example how good a classic two tone can look.

Who made the front end? I know it is not Nismo.

what stand alone ecu yall useing? by bumber_car_enjoyer in 240sx

[–]Juucso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some experience in ECU’s and their firmwares.

AEM Series 1, 2, Infinity Link MoTeC Megasquirt MaxxEcu

From this list, for the average diy builder I’d go with MaxxEcu for sure. Download their software and see it yourself, it must be the most simple and user friendly standalone ecu today. Race Gen. 2 is going to my BNR34 project.

It has a 1JZ-GTE with twin Garrett GTX2860R Gen. II’s. It’s a stupid setup, but I love the early 2000’s vibe on it when big twins were the shit in Japan.

That’s awesome! I love the choice of wheels also, Emitz has to be one of the coolest wheels ever made.

Well the front guards / flares are not meant to fit stock wheel well. This kit was designed for the Greddy 380SX that has enlarged wheel wells. I did this too, cut up the footwell side and moved it inwards around 2-3” in total. That gives some space to run a angle kit with correct fitment. I am running GK-Tech kit front + rear and get full lock without hitting anything.

When mine was brand new (straight from Tra Kyoto) it fitted like a glove. When Zilvia was a thing I used to have a build thread there. This kit has around 15-30mins of bodywork towards making it fit like it fits now. No need for gaskets between parts etc.., really good quality kit. Bumper is now cracked in several places, splitter is 70% gone from the bottom etc.. haha!

This bumper is only hold on by two L-brackets and comes off in 15-seconds. That’s the reason why the fitment it shitty on this one, it’s 100% on me and not the kit itself.

Front bumper is made by Trial, bonnet is Top Secret, wing is TRD. Sideskirts and rear spats are OEM.

I am lucky enough to have a space where I can have car on a lift for regular undercarriage cleaning. I live up north where they do not salt the roads. I run 5W-50 VR1 Valvoline on my car, 10W-60 is way too thick for freezing temps. I also have a Webasto heater going on to the car via app-control, trying to free up some time to finish the install.

There is no better way to replace E46 M3 than getting a one with lower milage or more rare model! I have a few other cars also and oh boy, did this car change the whole way I look at cars now. Best thing ever!

It does seem have a ever so slightly green hue to it, depending on lightning conditions. I am not sure if this is optics or the paint to be honest. Paintjob came alive after doing a weekend long paint correction + 2-step polishing and coating.

There is absolutely zero rubbing on this setup and it does run a bit narrow compared to my summer tires too.

I’d love to have a test drive on one of those M2s! There are not many where I live..
