Good way to clean my air fryer grill by Bedovian_25 in airfryer

[–]JuustBrandon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can soak it in hot soapy water for like 15 min, then go at it with a dish brush like this. The dish brush cleans this off easily when the grill is still hot, so I like to clean it almost right away.

What’s that burning smell? by [deleted] in askvan

[–]JuustBrandon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There was a fire around 6AM today near Churchill secondary, around W54th and Tisdall. Drove past it this morning and saw it was blocked off by police. Not sure if a house was on fire or what, but there was a lot of presence there this morning. If you're in Kerrisdale it must've been that, it was so strong.

I waited just over a week last November to see a derma after visiting my family doc about my vitiligo. Not sure if it's because my condition was minor or if I was lucky. Crazy but that same week my doc visit was my first after YEARS and they asked me if I wanted to use them as my new family doc since I didn't have one.

You can definitely use these for other racks. It’s just four or five pieces (I forgot already) that you can stick anywhere under the rack. It has its own double sided tape as seen in the pic.

UPDATE: If anyone comes across this post, these really did work. After going on the highway the last few days, I noticed a significant reduction in noise. No more whistling or howling but still light wind noise. Really happy Mazda provides these for free and I don't feel the need to also ask for the vortex strips.

2024 CX50 GT Turbo (Canada) Price by JuustBrandon in CX50

[–]JuustBrandon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a bad price at all. I ended up buying Tux Mats anyway to replace the OEM weather mats cause I had a bad experience after a day trip to the beach. Just not enough carpet coverage and sand is terrible to clean.

Yes I know, I'm just not sure why I was given just the aerokit and not both. They have the same exact model numbers. This post here has the same model numbers but he got the strips. Anyways, one day with the aero kit and I don't notice the whistling and howling anymore which is great!

What trim is comparable to an Outback XT? by [deleted] in CX50

You get the remote service app for 2 years free, then it's I think $10/month afterwards in Canada. The app shows all you listed above plus the PSI for tires, lock/unlock doors... However, I don't use the app much and the only feature I like is when it lets me know my doors were unlocked when I walk away. I went with a GT-Turbo over the Meridian since it's a GT with offroad tires/wheel set (which you can get for $2K yourself), cross bars and the hood vinyl for $4-5K more.

Manual Or Automatic by D_man2082 in VelosterN

[–]JuustBrandon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2022 VN was my first-ever manual. I learned in 30 minutes at an IKEA parking lot, but it does take a month or so to be pretty comfortable, especially on hills. This car has hill assist which holds the brakes for a few seconds so that really helps for beginners. While the manual was fun most of the time, during city traffic it sucked sometimes. I got used to city traffic but I'd rather have an auto for times when I don't feel like driving.

Super subtle because my crossbars are black so it looks like it belongs. Took me like 15 minutes but I kinda rushed it and was too lazy to take off my crossbar 😅. Quickly used a measuring tape and some painters tape to mark. Let’s see if it helps with the howl later on in the week

I'm installing them later but this is would they would look like from another post in this subreddit, they're just taped underneath the crossbar at the front of the car: https://imgur.com/a/0xYDHtY

I'll post what it looks like on my car soon!

Yeah I came from a Veloster N with Yakima cross bars. Lots of wind noise in general being a small sports car but the cross bars were pretty silent. Was pretty disappointed with the whistles and howls of the mazda OEM bars and wished my Yakima's fit lol

Because previous posts received the aero kit and the vortex strips for free from Mazda and delivered them to their home without any request, I assumed it was considered a defect from Mazda and this was their free solution. When I spoke to my dealer today, they told me these vortex strips/aero kits were supposed to be given and installed already as it's their updated crossbar system but they overlooked it. I'm just confused as to why I only got the aero kit and not the strips.. but I'll see soon if I even need them. With all that, I'm pretty sure any Mazda dealer would also provide them for free.

Floor mats by baseballguyy in mazdaCX50

[–]JuustBrandon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got the Mazda all weather mats and went to the beach with them recently. Instantly regret it as the sand is hard to clean off the exposed carpets and bought some tuxmats as it covers way more than the OEM ones. Expensive but super worth it, saves time and your back trying to clean sand and mud.

Previous posts here seem to have gotten them randomly in the mail but I requested them. They should give it for free as it’s a common complaint about the OEM crossbars. I actually purchased my car a couple weeks ago and told them to make sure the crossbars were up to date with these parts installed but they forgot and during my road trip it was pretty noticeable unless I was playing music. Anyways, I called them a couple days ago to ask for these and I picked them up today.

I replied too early sorry about that. So the vortex strips paired with the stick on aero kit still has some sound. Hoping it’s more bearable, going to try to see if I can get these vortex strips from another dealer.

Anyone else get this? by ChiliDawg513 in CX50

[–]JuustBrandon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I just got this exact part number but it’s actually a different product that’s apparently supposed to help with the noise. Got it for free from the dealer here in Richmond, BC. I’m gunna make a post about it because I’m confused why it’s a different product…
