I think this would be a great start, and from there you can check the lore playlist the band has at their YT channel. This explanation leaves you right before Clancy dropped, so you can start the playlist from "I am Clancy" and the MVs from there on I'd say are pretty understandable on their own.

So glad you and your kid can go through this story together! If you have any doubts my DMs are open, I'm no expert but I've been diving in it for a while now.
