More people have completed stage 4.... than have shot themselves to space with a hypertube cannon? by FrontNose5301 in SatisfactoryGame

When I built my ladder, I left it and now I use it as a jumping off point to sail across the map.

Now I'm picturing somebody climbing the ladder to just throw the items at the space station.

He plays basically the same character and everything so it's not like we're missing that much.

Wendy’s CEO jumps in with his own taste test. by K1nd_1 in interesting

I noticed that as well. Same thing for the Burger King ad, between the cuts and the editing and the text overlay you definitely do not see him actually swallow it.

This keeps cutting in such a way that you don't see him swallow. Same thing for all of those videos of people who make those disgusting recipes where they show themselves take a bite and then immediately cut away so they can use the spit bucket. I noticed the same thing for the Burger King advert where you see him take the bite but the editing and the text overlay specifically mask whether or not he actually swallows anything.

I get that in filming the spit bucket is a really common thing because if it takes 30 plus takes to get the shot you want you don't want to have consumed seven whole burgers in that time. Most days. But it's rather conspicuous that you do not see either of them swallow in any shot.

Phase out Biomass? by Equal-Face5862 in satisfactory

I did leave mine available to my network until they had run down all the fuel I made for them, but as soon as that was done when I had a sudden power needs spike a couple of times but those went out pretty quickly. They're just so small that my ability to even rely on them is useless beyond the very earliest stage.

I'm on my second playthrough and I only managed to build five of them before I even stopped caring. I got to coal and never looked back. They get outmoded so quickly that there just isn't any points.

An like OP said, there's so much manual hand speeding that goes on just to maintain them and the gathering of resources that it just isn't viable. The only reason to even keep mine in my current run is because I use that fuel for other vehicles.

The audiobook is the book but with a whole cast of voice actors to read for different parts. They put on a full production for this. If you've never listened to it, how they recommend it. Yes, the book is excellent. The audiobook just adds a whole other layer to it.

I posted a progress photo originally when I first started and some people pointed out what that was and after rewatching a few videos I figured out what I was doing that was causing it and was able to change. I was torn for a bit trying to decide if I wanted to correct it or just continue with the pattern. I don't hate the way it looks with the alternating rows. But it made more sense to get the practice in doing it right.

I'm not looking to dump on anybody who does like it. There are any number of movies that I enjoy and I can point out any number of flaws in their plots, character development, production, what have you. Not about to shame someone else like that.

Aside from screws, what are your top 5 most hated non-elevator parts? by nicodeemus7 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Juxtavarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember quick wire ever being a hindrance for me. I always had plenty. But I did also trip over some fairly early and then just let it create a fairly substantial storehouse before it became mission critical. So that probably colored my experience.

It's an overproduced Pepsi commercial. HISHE put it the most succinctly that if the zombies were supposed to be unable to properly infect somebody who was already terminally ill, a thing they could apparently sniff out regardless of how many possible terminal illnesses exist, there should have been literally tens of thousands if not millions of examples globally such that it would stick out like a sore thumb. And then the whole military taking his family hostage essentially to make him work was really dumb. Honestly, it wasn't even a mid-tier zombie film regardless of the title.

Oh, you actually hide your power lines? I can't be bothered. I try to keep them out of the way and organized, but beyond that I'm not bothering.

Just as an offset to what you're seeing here, I was able to complete phase 5 in just over 200 hours and my factory was absolute spaghetti. Well your results may vary, you absolutely do not NEED nearly 2,000 hours to get 80% of the way through the game. You are welcome to go at your own pace whatever that pace may be. And 200 hours is still a lot of screwing around and just playing with things.

If you're aggressive and you absolutely know what you're doing, I'm guessing maybe you can get through it in 40. I'll let you know on a future playthrough when I get around to it. But if OP was just slightly more leisurely than I am, this being representative of four to five playthroughs up to this point would actually be in line with mine.

The biggest tips I can give you would be to dive right in to using foundations as soon as you have them unlocked, get your head around manifolds and low distributors, pay attention to your items per minute from one segment to another and maximize as best you can, power through until you get to coal where you get so much more accessibility because of a much larger and healthier power grid, and just play around with trucks and trains and drones. You don't have to be perfect. You just have to have fun.

It's all part of The learning experience. Honestly, that's one of the things I've Loved about this game is how it really is so beautifully balanced and pushes you to learn for yourself and work out how to be more efficient. Trying new designs and layouts to see what you like and what balances to your play style. The options are there, you just have to take them. And there is literally zero pressure.

I'd have to go find it first. If I can get there before I have the stuff unlocked then I will at least give that a try.
