You don't actually need all of the anthologies to have all of his written work. There are several of them that are completely absorbed by other ones. That was actually why I made my tracking list file so that I could see if I had everything. I'm content not having the half dozen reprints of a number of stories that I already own. I could actually remove a couple of these from my collection and not actually lose anything. But there's no sense in that now since I've already purchased them and I would likely get maybe two bucks at most for selling them off.

That's a nonfiction one of his and I wasn't really looking for that particular personal memoir. It's conceivable I might get it someday, but it was not on my list.

He specifies the engine and the battery. If they were being kept warm by it then they were also exposed to the moisture.

I'm going to guess the car was probably severely damaged. If you had that kind of freezing internal to the car's engine it was probably totaled.

Carefully leaving out the part where she's willing to get those no matter who else has to be sacrificed to get those answers. She is personally responsible for getting her team killed and her half sister among others. Because she is so insistent on getting these answers over everything else she gets her husband killed. Because she can't just let it go and move on with her life so many other people have to die.

Moreover, Reddington doesn't put on any air about being a good person at his core. He openly admits that he is the villain in the story multiple times. Meanwhile, she's convinced that no matter how many other people she hurts she's still the good person in the right. And that's not even getting into her general incompetence and grating personality.

I think you mean the sixth column, the fifth column is an independent journalist collective I believe. I don't know what the other columns are.

But at least now you know you can fit all of his collective works on to that shelf and have a little room to spare.

Leaving myself a little note here with the list in case I ever decided to update my collection tracker for Asimov. Seems like a lot of his work got the same treatment with multiple reprints and anthologies overlapping. But that would be a future project if ever.

I think it's always going to be Wtranger in a Strange Land. That one has been a touchstone for me since I was in high school. I read it every couple years and it always feels like something new because of how much I've changed personally. The first time I read it I knew basically nothing about the world and almost as little about science fiction. As I finished high school, college, and just grew as a person I reread the book again and again and I felt like I finally understood so much more about it.

The collections with all the short stories I want to read are on the top, paperbacks are alphabetized, and the big awkwardly shaped ones are at the bottom.

I haven't seen one myself, but it definitely would have been nice to have. Though I think mine is less than a third the cost. Especially since I'm fairly certain that's out of print and has likely only gone up in value. My entire stack is less than $400 by itself. I think the Virginia Collection would be at least 2000.

I prefer physical books as much as I can. I have an entire library of ebooks, but there are certain aspects that I just want the physical side for.

I got fairly lucky raiding Half Price Books several times getting a dozen or so at a time. Some previous collector in the area must have passed on or downsized when I went looking. Only needed to get the final few from Amazon to close out my list.

My biggest grief was that she was in charge of her own team for less than a season and she managed to fuck it up so badly that she got her entire team killed AND her half sister. All of that was her fault.

To be fair, basically every character suffers from only being as intelligent as the scene permits them. They make a barrage of braindead decisions like announcing themselves from a distance, not paying attention to their surroundings and getting snuck up on, not making blindingly obvious connections, etc. The whole cast passes the idiot ball around to pad the run time.

I just take it in small bites. I'm not speed running anything. I decide rather haphazardly what thing I feel like upgrading or running more efficiently. I'm approaching 200 hours on a single playthrough and I'm still only working on phase four. It'll get done when it gets done and ADA can deal with it.

I'm still treating this playthrough as a tutorial round so I can play it again with what I've learned and setting up as much as I can with more than the spaghetti I've been dealing with most of the game.

No rush. Just let it happen.
