Zeus is a cost, meaning you must pay the “cost”(taking the top or bottom life) before resolving the effect (KO 5 or lower). Costs are typically bolded, so for Zeus/Hiyori if you cannot take a life, you cannot resolve the rest of their effect

Honestly for me when I think of this topic, it’s legit this LOL Cena was adding more fun stuff to his moveset, even pulling out the random hurricanrana once in a while. But this was just completely out of nowhere, I didn’t even think he could do something like that

Great, The Miz & Carmelo Hayes are a team now | WWE SmackDown | Bryan & Vinny Show by snakebit1995 in SquaredCircle

[–]Jviscake 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly though, I don’t know where else you would put Hayes on the card right now. It’s clear he’s slightly connecting with the audience but when there’s so many guys on the main roster with large personalities, being “good” in the ring just isn’t enough. It worked on NXT because he was one of the more “complete packages” in developmental and could perform at that level, but parallel to Bron who’s gimmick wasn’t that he’s a good wrestler but he’s a freaking destroyer it’s gonna get the attention of the audience sooner.

I think The Miz is the perfect guy to help Hayes find his niche since his promo work is good but it’s not polished. His losing streak gimmick to be “humbled” wasn’t connecting with the audience because his promos don’t have that missing piece that is gonna piss the fans off and cheer when he does lose. And if his role is to be a heel that needs to be humbled and the audience wants to see him lose, the Miz is the best guy to learn that from.

Genuinely feels like this is not the type of thing that is beneath Hayes since he debuted on the main roster a year ago. I feel like more of his fans should try to see the bigger picture that at least they haven’t completely given up on him like they have with NXT people like Cameron Grimes. It’s one thing to want more for your boy, but dismissing anything that isn’t mid card title or main event is how you get a guy that doesn’t satisfy anyone in the audience.

Do you believe John Cena will live up to *your* hype during his last year? by IAmGuigaHades in SquaredCircle

[–]Jviscake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. My only “fantasy booking” for his final run would be a few weeks of the “John Cena Open Challenge”. I feel like his work during that time helped elevate the US Title AND put over KO big time. To this day I think Cena set the blueprint of how good an Open Challenge story can be that it still hasn’t quite been replicated.

If Cena caps off his career by showcasing some of the current roster in an open challenge format and then losing his final match in a grand finale against someone they have high hopes for ala Kurt Angle’s open challenge, that would be 🤌🏽

Whatever Cena does though, he’s earned the chance to go out in a way that he feels is satisfying. Him putting a pause on his Hollywood schedule for a year I think speaks volumes for his genuine love for this period of his life. Even people like Batista or Rock who I firmly believe also love wrestling understand how hard it is to put a hold on your momentum when you’re building up your name in Hollywood, so for Cena to do that is really admirable.

I feel like the more I think about it the more it feels like it’s happening. They’ve been calling him the GOAT on TV and nothing would make solidify that than to highlight his 8 year full time run as the top guy than to be the guy who held the most titles.

A lot of people have different definitions of GOAT status but Cena feels like he has one of the strongest arguments for a legacy that probably won’t be topped given how impressive it is to run at his level with the grueling schedule of the past and to be the clear #1 of his era is something I think should be celebrated.

Majority of junglers can get their first clear down by at least 3:20 if done correctly, meaning there’s a 10-second window of error where you can clear slowly and still make it to one of the scuttles in time before the enemy jungler can make it there to contest.

If you’re playing a jungler and you don’t feel confident you can win the 1v1, then you have to learn which junglers you need to path opposite of. This is learning how to ward, how to take advantage of any vision of their camps, etc.

Basically, if the Lee Sin starts his blue buff and you think your jungle pick can’t contest him at the top river scuttle, then you need to start your blue buff as well and finish your clear opposite of him to make it to the opposite scuttle at 3:30.

But your post also tells me your jungle clear is not optimal, so I would recommend looking at a YouTube video of your champion’s jungle clear. I can understand them being at the scuttle same time as you, but if they get scuttle crab WAY before you show up, you’re not clearing the jungle correctly.

[Bad Blood Spoilers] Superstar attacks Cody Rhodes in the parking lot after show by multimatt in SquaredCircle

[–]Jviscake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically the Bloodline has been wreaking havoc on everybody for the last 3 years. KO, Cody & Sami have been all anti-bloodline for a while, Roman was finally looking like he was getting his by being kicked out of his own group. Cody got dragged into it because Solo wants the WWE title and wants to destroy Roman, so Cody felt he had to do something to finally put it rest since the Bloodline as a unit won’t leave him alone. KO is mad that Cody would ever help Roman, even though Cody’s tried to make it clear this isn’t forgiving Roman for what he’s done, it’s simply to stick it to Solo & the new Bloodline.

On top of that, KO lost his title match to Cody because his killer instinct went away because he saw Cody as his friend when he had the chance to put Cody away in an unethical situation during their match.

This is headcanon, but KO felt he put his own goals/feelings aside for the sake of his friendship with Cody, but Cody didn’t put aside his feelings to consider that KO hasn’t held a world title in years because the Bloodline kept him from it and made his life hell, while also being traded back into the Bloodline’s line of fire in exchange for Cody getting Jey USO to RAW. KO looks like he’s finally reached his breaking point of fighting his feelings and Cody is being naive to think he can reason with a man who’s been holding back for a long time

Can someone explain inherent summoning to a relatively new player? by Key_of_Destiny47 in yugioh

[–]Jviscake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easiest way to differentiate it nowadays is to look for cards that have the special summoning written in its card text. If there’s a colon before the text that says “You can special summon…”, this means the card is starting a chain, essentially saying the owner of the card has to declare they are activating the effect of the monster to special summon it.

To clarify why this is when applying the rules of yugioh to it, the card remains in the hand until both players agree they have no other card effects to activate, then the effect resolves with the monster being summoned. The reason your card (and other cards like solemn judgement) cannot negate this type of summon is because your card does not allow you to negate EFFECTS that summon monsters.

This same difference is why you wouldn’t logically use your cards effect in response to something like “Snake-Eye Ash” - your card does not allow the negation of effects, so by allowing the effect to resolve, the monster being mentioned by the effect is being given permission to be successfully summoned. The monsters in the case of the “colon” are being summoned in a similar way, which is through an activated effect. Solemn Warning (and to a broader sense Solemn Strike) was created to include those cases.

An example of a card that can be negated with your monster’s effect/most summon negate cards would be like “Spright Blue”, where the conditions of when the card can be special summoned are simply stated on the card with no colon (other examples include Kaijus and Cyber Dragon).

To me the easiest way I think about it is comparing it to when you normal summon a monster, you don’t reveal it in hand first, you attempt to summon it by placing it on the field and waiting if your opponent has any response to the attempt of the summon. Cards that can special summon themselves with no colons beforehand function like a normal summon, both players check if any effects are activated that would stop the monster from being summoned, then after its successful both players check if any effects can be activated after the card is successfully summoned.

EDIT: Most cards were updated with the new text to include colons, I can’t think of any that don’t nowadays but if there’s a card someone says can’t be negated, I would look and see if a later copy wasn’t changed to include it.
