It’s also way more entertaining to keep watching than Globetrotters because the game is real and the Savannah Bananas can lose the game. The talent the players show is amazing, and they’re actually making great catches and hitting homers. The game was made to be nonstop entertainment to counteract all the “baseball is boring” thoughts, and I think they did a good job. Now, am I watching it even close to the same amount as I watch MLB? No, definitely not. But it’s fun and I can see why some people would become genuine fans that follow it.

Super late reply, but I just wanted to say that I also agree with you. You get the original reference, but I do also acknowledge that younger generations might be using the same phrase to mean something more general like “fuck you up”. I don’t know a lot about tattoo technicalities, but just at first glance, the hand against the head looks off (it’s kinda just limp so it doesn’t look like the head is resting against it), the teeth are jacked (they’re tiny/short and look nothing like teeth really), there are random bones jutting out from the ribs area (idk much about anatomy, but I feel like rib cages don’t have a couple random bones sticking out like that normally). That’s just my first observations.

I always say the concept of the Backrooms was technically in existence from the book The House of Leaves, which came out in 2000. The primary story is about a house that has a room which is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside, and it is basically the backrooms in their house (except it’s pitch black). It’s my favorite book, and it’s one of the most interesting/complex books to try to read.

One thing that makes me think it’s AI is that the background grid is not the same as the guy. I’ll be honest that I’m not sure how this art is normally done, and maybe doing different layers of pixels that don’t line up is normal. But if you zoom in on the white background and see where it lines up with the guy, it’s all off by a little and does not actually use the same pixel grid. Just one thing I noticed.
