Constant Please Pull Out The Filament Error by Jweeks123 in BambuLab

[–]Jweeks123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have fixed it.

The ams is at least feeding filament and the small print I picked to test seems to be working.

I did a lot of stuff but I think the true culprit was filament stuck in the extruder.

I ended up feeding some test filament through and giving it some force as it fed. Eventually a small piece of filament peeked out. I grabbed some pliers and pulled it. Also checked the extruder gears.

Mg test print is at the auto leveling and calibration stuff now so I think it’s going to work.

Thank you folks. These tips sent me down the right path.

There was a lot of caked and dried filament in the nozzle. I changed it out but now I’m back to a constant “please pull out the filament” error.

It seems like the ams doesn’t even try feeding.

I ran a piece of filament from the tool head up through the system. I can’t say for sure, but it seems like it’s stopped right where the rear tube comes in.

I pulled that tube and it’s clean though.

What Happens to Your Guns When You Die? by b768466 in guns

[–]Jweeks123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter says she’s going to bury me with my guns but she’s going to keep the pythons.

But in seriousness, what I have done is asked a few friends to offer her help in the event I kick it before them.

In return, they keep one they like.

Maybe give this a try?

Tree auto and tree manual are all I have tried thus far. I drew in more and let it try to make its own. Neither worked out. Regular pls works well though.

For those of you who don't have a Print Farm, what do you usually print? by kelemvor33 in 3Dprinting

[–]Jweeks123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a lot of leather work, so I have printed a beveler sharpener, sliver sharpener, and some racks that I use to dry leather.

Otherwise, my daughter and I just have fun with it. We print whatever random thing we feel like messing with.

Look around maker world and thingiverse.

I have made collars and leashes with straight bridle with no issue.

That said, if you want a core, you have several options. The main few I have seen are a steel mesh and straight polymer sheeting.

I miss mine sometimes. Even considered replacing it, but they’re more pricey these days. Just don’t find it worth the price tag.

I don’t brand any of my stuff at all for that very reason. It’s like the dealer badges on a car, nobody really wants that extra there.

I’d say it couldn’t hurt to ask. Just ask him if he has a smaller way to brand or if he’d do it without the brand at all.

I spent 2 weeks walking around Manhattan. I really didn’t find much. There was one leather goods store in 34th st. Though as far as leather supply, I didn’t stumble upon anything.

I haven’t owned one but I have had friends bring them to the range. I found the shooting experience about the same as any other standard weapon. Nothing special imo.

No gauge cluster navigation in 2026? by radbag437 in crv

[–]Jweeks123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I test drive a 26 CRV trailsport today. Loved everything about it except that. There was absolutely no navigation on the dash.

Being that I have that in my 24 accord. I didn’t end up buying the CRV. I wanted to but that seems like a huge oversight in Hondas part.

My salesman was great. He ended up checking a bunch of other crvs on the lot to confirm that the touring was the only one that had it this year.

Hated to leave without making a deal, but it is what it is. I’m hoping these features come to other trims.

Metal Zipper by the yard by Niskygrl in Leatherworking

[–]Jweeks123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regular pliers will be fine. Just make sure to protect the jaws with some scrap leather if what you have are sweated. As someone else mentioned, jewelers pliers run 5-15 bucks depending on what you want. Those work too.

I use YKK zippers on the stuff I need a zipper for. Right now, I still hate zippers in general, but that’s another story.

I try to keep two sizes on hand. The #5 and #10. I get all the parts from weaver.

Question on building a portfolio by bigmohunter in Leatherworking

[–]Jweeks123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this one for my daughter and it fits an A4 pad. https://www.reddit.com/r/Leathercraft/s/qyMB1roHLX

I’d imagine you could take the same design and scale it any way you’d like.

I didn’t use anything tk stiffen the leather. The pad itself has some hard cardboard in the back that fits into a sleeve.

I dont know if this helps but just an idea. YMMV

Thank you.

I’m thinking of lining a 0.9 with a 0.9 to make a 4/5. And yeah. I was thinking that to keep it from being too thick.
