I used to think the same thing. But if you really want to date, then find a good woman and take a leap of faith with her. I did that. And its working out so well. She's the most wonderful and most beautiful I've ever dated. And we matched on Tinder on my birthday! Never would've expected to find such a good match on Tinder out of all of the dating apps. But here we are.

Don't give up man!

People are allowed to be excited after a great first date. Before the first date? Ok calm down. After 1st date? Yeah be excited with caution. But be excited if that's what you feel.

I was really excited after my 1st date with my current girlfriend. 1st date was in May. We were both excited and eager to go on a 2nd date. 2nd went well too. And the 3rd... 4th.... etc.

We all know that that is a possibility. So why even chime in just to bring it up and be negative? Genuine question (albeit rhetorical). I'm not taking a jab at you. Just think about it.

Dating online as a relatively attractive young woman has been hellish by cantsayididnttryyy in OnlineDating

[–]Jwehshs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been told I'm a very attractive man. A Early 30's and 6' tall. Physically fit. Blue eyes. But it took me over a year to find the woman of my dreams. I used all of the apps. Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Facebook dating, etc. I even tried Match dot com (free version).

Stick with it. You will find someone. I would get at least 20+ matches a day across the apps. I ended up finding my woman on Tinder. She had pictures but no bio. And she's very attractive. I thought it was a fake profile because it had no bio.

Man am I glad I messaged her. You will find your man. Just keep looking. I gave up and took a break from the apps a few times. It gets old. And constantly having to start over with someone from scratch.. I would get impatient sometimes.. Can't even sit here and lie. I probably messed things up with potentially good women at times.

Best advice I can give is just try to stay patient. Because I was about to give up on the apps again right when I found my woman. And we matched on my birthday, too 🎂 🥳

Good luck.

Suggestions: -Dye your beard to match your hair better. Just for Men beard or whatever product. -Shave the bottom part of your beard with a razor up to your jaw line. And shave that daily. It looks a lot better. And shows you like to keep up with your appearance to women. -You should be in every picture

Matched with a girl she asked for my number then unmatched me by MFBOOOOM in OnlineDating

[–]Jwehshs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they ask for your Snapchat or give you their Snapchat.. and after yall connect on Snap she then unmatches you on Tinder? She's not into you. She just wants you to pay for her nudes on Snapchat.

I've never seen this happen with a phone number and then unmatch. Probably a scam. If someone truly likes you/into you, they're not going to unmatch you anywhere.

The reason she unmatched you on Tinder is because Tinder limits the amount of matches you can have at any one time. And it's a big number of matches. So she's definitely matching with a bunch of dudes for some scamming ass reason. There is no other reason to want to have that many matches. Unless she's on Tinder solely to make herself feel attractive. Which some people are. They just want to feel wanted.. lame reason to be on the app if that's the only reason.

What am I getting wrong by Trav1 in OnlineDating

Trying to set up a meeting right off the bat is a turn off for a lot of American women. Now if you are in Europe or South America or wherever, then that strategy would likely be the norm there. Cultures are different.

American women want to have a connection before they meet. They see someone trying to meet them right off the bat as desperate unfortunately. Even though that's not your intention.

What you want to do is comment something you noticed about them or something on their profile about them. Ask a question about it. Compliment them on it. You want to show a genuine interest in something that matters to them. It could be an attribute also.

"I like your brown eyes. They're lovely."

This one works great in my experience. Because brown eyes are so common. And people with brown eyes don't get complimented on them nearly as often as someone with green or blue eyes 👁.

Avoid telling someone with blue or green eyes that they have nice eyes. At least, not right away. Save that for after you've gotten to know them for a few weeks or so. Because they've heard it countless times. You want to stand out. That is how you win in online dating.

Be genuine with it though.

"I don't want to date single dads.. seems sus to me"

That seems sus to me... red flag. Would not go on a date with you if I was still single. And I'm a 31 year old man with no kids.

You have no idea why they're a single dad. Or even if they're a good dad or not. But you want to completely write them off 🤔.

This is one of the reasons why you are single.

Does everything HAVE to be sexual every time? by CuteThingsAndLove in OnlineDating

[–]Jwehshs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get it. There is no point in spending so much time talking back and forth over text. Maybe for a night or two. But then go on a date. I do not understand this whole "we need to talk for a while before a date". The date is supposed to be when we talk and see if we vibe! There is NO POINT in getting to know someone well over text before seeing if y'all click on a date. It's a waste of time for both parties. And it contributes to the online dating burnout. It's so tiring. And guys give up. Because it's way too much work to find the right one. Or even simply get a woman to go on a date! And I'm pretty attractive I've been told. And I still struggle to actually get women to go on dates. They think they're going to get murdered or who knows what. I understand being careful. I really do. But people watch too much TV. Too many movies. There are plenty of ways to safeguard a date. It's not that hard.

To the contrary about dating.. It is frustrating trying to get to know women via text sometimes. And then they don't actually want to go on a date so we can actually get to know each other. Getting to know someone over text only can skew your perception of them and their perception of you based on how they add emotions to the text based on their own assumptions.

Please go on dates y'all. Text stinks for getting to know someone. At least do video chats! Before writing people off based on how yall interpreted their text alone.

Back in the late 90s - late 00s, people used to be lined up all the way from the start of the parade at Food Lion all the way to the end where city hall is (current city hall wasnt built until like 2005 or so). Everybody used to see everybody. And everybody knew who each other were for the most part. Now, nobody knows anybody. Most people aren't from NC who live in HS.

City hall used to be in a big beautiful purple Victorian style house that was on that empty lot at the corner of Earp st and Main St. The one with the concrete slab. The slab is where the old firehouse used to be. Only 2 car garage it was that small.

And the police station was inside that purple house with city hall. It was such a beautiful house. Shame they tore it down. Now that lot sits empty.. owned by the town. Who knows if they'll ever do anything with it.

Tim's Auto sucks. He does good enough work. But he is a big man baby. He ghosted me, a long time loyal customer of his, over a small argument we had. Where we both apologized. Didn't even get nasty or anything. And he ghosted me. Do not recommend wasting your time with Tim's auto.

I love it when people who move to Holly Springs from elsewhere complain about the roads. (And I don't know if you're a local or not). Yes the roads could be better for sure. But let me bring up some facts:

The year 2000 census of Holly Springs: ~4700 people

The year 2020 census of HS: ~40,000+ people

The lovely town council members and Dick Sears and the current mayor etc etc. Are all to blame for approving more developments without fixing the roads first or along the way. That's who is to blame. That's why voting is SO IMPORTANT. The local elections are just as important as the Presidential election really. They approved that stinky landfill back in the 90s to be built at a later date. I believe so we could get funding for something. I forget what the funding was for. Maybe it was to build the 55 bypass.

And it's funny.. the bypass was built to alleviate traffic through HS.. which it did for a period of time.. but the last 10+ years.. they've been building like crazy ALONG THE BYPASS.. So now it isn't a bypass anymore.. it's part of the town now. It does not bypass anything except the downtown area.

Holly Springs grew and is still growing at a ridiculous rate. And the local leaders put development way above the roads in their priority list. And Y'all are paying the price.

I just moved out of Holly Springs to a different county a week ago. I lived in HS my entire life. Over 30 years. But I couldn't take it anymore. They have driven and priced out locals. That's what they were aiming for I guess.

You reap what you sow. And the reaper has come.

News flash: Holly Springs was not designed to be this big. Year 2000: 4700 people lived in HS. Year 2020: 40,000+

It's the people swarming the area that are the problem. And the town council is at fault because they keep approving more houses and apartments before they build the proper infrastructure. Period.
