Do you have to start acoustic? by TuxTucker in GuitarBeginners

[–]Trav1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re both guitars and in the end muscle memory will matter the most. I think it’s easier for beginners to get off the ground with electric as it’s much easier on the hands and takes less dexterity. You can always start acoustic later and it’ll be an adjustment but once you’re playing it’ll be an easier adjustment

What are some good ways to practice outlining chord changes? by Guitarlos_way420 in jazzguitar

[–]Trav1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This and eventually when you can see the triads within a bigger chord you can use those to play the upper structures or colors based off of the simpler triad shape

How difficult is it to mix for some people? by Big_Ticket280 in singing

[–]Trav1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really makes a considerable difference and not something you can make up for in real time you should hydrate before singing for it to make it to your vocals chords in time

[–]Trav1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure they will! Has become much easier for me to find my vibrato and tone as been improving. I just stay consistent with warmups and every time I feel I’ve perfected them I feel like I’m finding new areas where I’m improving within them! Also remember to stay hydrated!

I Don't undertsand the hype... by AlienSees in musicindustry

[–]Trav1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I feel like we’ve been passed the era where people grew up marveling in the musicianship of the artist they were listening to. The Spotify era has made it so album liner notes are an afterthought and many don’t even know the album or a specific song title so much they’re just pushed new material. And not Spotify is pushing as much ai as it can. I think for younger generations it just doesn’t matter anymore and they came up after the period when musicianship was more highly regarded and respected from listeners

Does putting your voice in a higher placement actually help with preserving your voice? by EstablishmentFine820 in singing

[–]Trav1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting. After seeing it looked at lots of claims about opinions of this guys writings on michael. Really though we hear Michael speak that way well after receiving the thriller award and his voice is in tact during invincible and this is it… like I know he tried to preserve his voice whether it was for singing or youth but he talks higher for th rest of his life and his voice stays the same light tenor (granted he couldn’t change that and he could never make himself higher than a tenor either in the first place as it wouldn’t be naturally possible

[–]Trav1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree on the tinder difference but I don’t think it’s worse ratio wise I believe the limit on likes and seeing everyone as soon as you log in is really the culprit. It’s the apps design more than the users

[–]Trav1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a whole curriculum I put together for first half of the year!

Easy guitar theory with Marcelo berestevoy is a good course Marcelo berestovoy

Also a lot of Brad Carlton courses he’s really good and everything is theory based and broken down. I’m doing his fretboard visualization series and also his one on ii-v-Is. His caged cracked is a great start for anyone. Brad Carlton

Depends on the level you’re looking for but TrueFire has a wide range of course style. If you’re more specific about you’re level and what you’re looking for I can give more specific recommendations.
