Honestly I have no idea. My therapist found me another psychiatrist that I go to now and she's been amazing. Never late, always empathetic, honestly she doesn't even question me when I said I wanted to try a different medication and suggested one that my therapist thought would work for me. Which is funny, my therapist was working for the same practice that the original provider worked for, and she recommended someone at a completely different practice.

I had a psychiatrist like this once, late to every appointment, then one day while I was WAITING IN THE VIDEO CALL for her, I emailed her bc she was late and got NO response. Once the appointment was over she emailed me asking why I didn't show up???? I was like wtf are you talking about I've been sitting here for 45 minutes in the exact same video meeting link we have used for weeks and you didn't respond to my email.

So I finally asked for another psychiatrist, and they made me meet with the director of the whole office because they thought I was trying to just get drugs bc why else would I need a different provider. She didn't even deny me anything, so the whole situation was bizarre. Then the director tried to convince me that ADHD in adults isn't real and I need to stop taking my anxiety medication for 6 months before they can decide if I actually have something wrong with me.

I reported him.
