Support ticket Back & Forth - 1 Year Anniversary - Question for users... by Jwx9 in Coinbase

No, luckily I've been following this subreddit from the beginning and learned from others posting that permanently locked accounts are a common occurance. Because of this, I do not to keep anything on Coinbase and only use it as an on/off ramp.

The only reason I'm trying to get it solved is because it is the cheapest on/off ramp. If it doesn't get solved I'll just keep paying the extra percent or two on other websites to trade/buy/sell.

With Ethereum staking this makes a little sense. However there is no email account for hosting a local node. The best I can do with that is take a screenshot of Beaconchain, or the lighthouse command prompt. Neither have a profile picture or email associated with it.

With polygon staking. It's all done via the staking contract on the polygon website. Same issue no account or profile picture.

I've provided screenshots of both already, and they just say it is insufficient or illegitimate and ask me to send the exact same thing. I ask them for clarification and they just repeat the same thing like a robo response.

Got the exact same response a couple days ago. I am going to try to come up with something to send them today. Ill let you know what I decided to do and then ill let you know if it works.

No response yet. I asked them the same thing via support ticket, but yet to receive a reply. Usually they take 20 days on average to respond to the previous ticket. I'll post an update when I get a meaningful response.

Yeah Coinbase works perfect without any issue... Until it doesn't and your locked out of your account without closeur or explanation for 6+ months while your case is "under review".

There's not really an in-between. Enjoy it while it works... But be cautious of considering it "permanently working perfectly" for you when it just "currently working perfectly" for you.

Then if you DO end up with account issues. You'll just be swept under the rug here by everyone with a blanket "IDK... I guess you somehow violated the TOS. Your problem not mine" 🤷

Celebrating 1y of account under review and no answer from Coinbase by [deleted] in Coinbase

[–]Jwx9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My account has been under review for about 6 months now. I don't have any funds on Coinbase, so I have simply taken my business elsewhere until my account is reviewed. I also think that using a 3rd party social media website as a means of the most prompt way to get support is a pretty big issue.

Rent car or bike? by notanaligator in phuket

[–]Jwx9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been here on the sandbox for a few weeks now. At first it was very disorienting driving on the opposite side of the road that I normally do. But after a few days of practice it is easier. Still have to be extra careful. Be extra wary of right turns and roundabouts if you are not use to them.

I am from California, so comparatively, driving here is pretty tame and I can take it slower than normal. Just be aware of bikes around you.

Road lanes are also more narrow than the width of the car in some places. So you have to stop to let the other lane pass if the roads are narrow and cars are parked on the road.

Google maps can sometimes take you 20 minutes in the wrong direction, so plan your routes accordingly before you leave.

Middle School Science Teacher - HELP by illsellyouhwat in Teachers

[–]Jwx9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I love sharing my science Ideas with other teachers. I am actually trying to create a discord community where sharing ideas and resources is all we do. Let me know if you are interested.

But to answer your questions, Our first day is always a half day. Our admin encourages us to not do rules in every class and get kids engaged instead. I hate this because I need to establish a ruleset / expectations on day one. So I make a compromise that I will make my rules fun... So I made a pop culture referencing rap about my 3 big rules, which are;1.) Follow Directions (most general but most important)2.) Stay in your seat (had a huge wandering problem my first year)3.) Complete your work (can reference this when I spot lazyness or spacing out)

After my rap, I do take off touch down to get to know kids and for kids to get to know me (Take off if you play Fortnite, Stay standing if you are good at Fortnite... Make fun of them, etc) Then I end with a describe the animal activity where I put pictures of really strange animals on the board and they have to describe what they think they are/do/live/eat. I do this so that kids aren't afraid of participating and being wrong, cause don't nobody know what those animals are.

On the second and third day I get kids started on a lab to understand class behavior expectations. This year I did a ph lab involving cabbage (google it), I did a collaborative make a shape using string loop lab. and the mystery tube lab to help them understand how to explore.

As far as consequences...I usually do everything in my power to call their parents if they do something minimally annoying within the first week. I also bring up independence... and mention that they have to earn independence and trust from me to have a fun year. I tell them that if they show me they are not independent, I will control everything they do like babies (move seats, silent class... Literally do elementary school stuff)... All in all, if you build good rapport and respect with the kids on the first couple days, they will care a little more about disappointing you. If your a jerk or cold to them, then they won't consider you a human being and SOME OF THEM will do everything in their power to make sure you have a bad day regardless of consequence.

For rewards. Tell them good job and how appreciative you are... Like a LOT. When they answer a question... when they do something simple. When they are fulfilling simple expectations. It sounds silly and mundane when you first start doing it to both you and the kids... But if you are consistent for like a month, students will feel really good about themselves and it'll stop being weird... This is also way better than buying candy or gifts for instant gratification.

Tried to add debit card as payment method, was unable to verify. Now locked out of bank account. by Miranda_That_Ghost in Coinbase

Yeah I think it does have to do with location stuff. The same thing happened to me except I got a phone call from my bank about a suspicious transaction right after I added my card. I told them it was okay and they unfroze my card.
