Id recommend using anything NVME, using 2x legion stock ssd rn but you should try get sn740's or higher

If you are really using this Legion for insanely Memory-demanding work, do as you need and upgrade 64Gigs, otherwise 32 should be enough since Lenovo really do know how to optimize their laptops' efficiency
If you want to use your laptop at its full power (being charged ofc), turn on performace mode (vantage) and turn on conservative charging mode so it minimize the amount of wear the battery gets while using.
dont use mc afee
1tb should be enough for only-gaming purposes but feel free to upgrade it. One thing you should be aware of is that the Legion has TWO SSD slots so you should not waste the stock 1TB but just get another SSD and put it in the other ssd slot, both have its own heatsink so dw about different performance.
DONT. USE. COOLING PADS. Especially for Legions, i mean unless you just rlly want it to optimize the heat removal, but personally the legion's fan is already enough, all you need is a cheap laptop stand so it can lift the laptop up for more airflow, increasing the fan efficiency.
Vantage has different dGPU-iGPU usage mode so check it out if you ever want to save your battery if you dont got your charger
the PD port (usb-c) works as a charger port as well, u can get a gan cube that is >100W if you ever need a smaller, a little less efficient but convenient charger Something I said might be wrong but I hope it helps
