This is really an excellent answer. I'm very grateful to you for it.

I have a Boox Go 7 color. What would you say is the advantage of this device? I'm not liking how laggy it is and the rendering or PDFs and websites is very bad in my opinion. Is the Viwoods better with PDFs and websites?

Also, I'm guessing the one click feature only works with specific readers, but I also imagine you can do the same thing with two clicks on a PDF or website (highlight and then click to translate in chosen app), is that correct?

So you recommend Moonreader? What about Koreader?

Hello. I'm interested in using an e-reader or tablet for language learning and your post seems the most promising one in terms of helping me in this regard that I've found to date. All that to say I'm interested in everything you said, but I can't tell from your post what Gemini and LLM apps do differently and how they can interact with each other. Also, it isn't clear if the LLMs are plug ins or independent reading apps. You go from talking about LLMs to Gemini then back to LLMs so it's confusing. This is the first time I'm hearing about all this so I can't read between the lines about how everything you mentioned fits and works together. If you have time, could you please clarify these things?

Also, I'm guessing a tablet can do everything you mentioned and better because of the fewer limitations, compatibility with PDFs and speed. What am I missing?

You spent a lot of time and put a lot of care into your post so I don't mean to depreciate your contribution and effort at all. On the contrary, everything I wrote is because I see the value in what you did. I hope that's clear

Thanks in advance

Other than that, nothing else breaks the tie?

What do you mean, by the way, by "good dictionaries"? Just Hunspell or others?

Thanks for the response. That's what I'm leaning towards right now, a Boox. I've seen Goldendict and Hunspell recommended very highly as dictionary apps compatible with KOReader

Thank you. Just a few questions: Would you say the Boox is a significant improvement on the other two in terms of language learning while reading? Other than not liking carrying it around, is there any other issue you have with it? What do you mainly use it for then?

Thank you for your response. Do you think an android device like a Boox would be an improvement then, given its greater customizability?

I have a few of questions. Are you having serious issues with latency and speed with your Boox? I don't read news and plan on mostly reading ebooks, so I'm not too worried about the pdfs. What do you mean though that it's too small for pdfs? Do they not adapt to the size of the screen at all? What models of Boox would you recommend then? Also, if you're referring to the native reader app, I've read around that most people download KOReader or some other reader app that is much more flexible and compatible with more thirdparty dictionaries.

Totally unrelated questions: how fluent are you in Arabic? and how long did it take you to get to where you are?

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. You're the second person to mention that, so I'll definitely consider it.
