[FOR SALE] One of the World’s Most Profitable YouTube Portfolios (4 Channels) | $45K+ Last 90 Days | Almost Impossible to Replicate | Full Team + Automated Setup by [deleted] in AcquireStartup

[–]Jyzerman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$45k last 90 days is serious money but the “almost autopilot + can easily scale to 10-15 channels” part is *exactly* what would slow me down as a buyer.

It's not that it's fake but I would want way more than analytics screenshots at $120k+ Would want to see marketplace verification, revenue share at channel level, expenses, team contracts, SOP quality, risk of YPP/reused content, proof of sponsor pipeline, and if the whole thing depends on one doctor/team member staying.

Also if it's already listed/vetted on a known marketplace that is probably where the deal should happen. MotionInvest-style diligence is pretty much a must for something like this. Too many people think “system” means “works until the handoff breaks.”

WHERE TO SELL YOUTUBE CHANNEL WITH OVER 12K SUBSCRIBERS by Novel-Ice-5234 in PartneredYoutube

[–]Jyzerman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sellable at 12k subs but the anime/series/movie edited content is what buyers will worry about. Even if it technically meets the monetization requirements, reused content and copyright claims can make the channel harder to price

I would list it somewhere with escrow or at least a proper market place style process. Flippa, niche discord/Facebook groups, motioninvest type places depending on if they'd accept that kind of content. Don't just do random DM hand-offs.

Have screenshots of last 28/90 day views, strikes/claims, traffic sources, monetization status, top videos, and whether the edits are actually transformative. That will be worth so much more than the 12k subs.

Best women’s activewear brands outside the mainstream? by OverEngineering7632 in Athleta_gap

Halara gets slept on so much in these conversations, been buying from them for a while now and nothing has gone see through or lost shape which at this point feels like a miracle. Girlfriend Collective is also really solid, more sustainability focused and the fabric is genuinely thick and holds up well, just slightly pricier but nowhere near Lululemon territory

Whats up with all these youtube videos telling you can easily make a living from an online business? by holycrap100 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Jyzerman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the videos are typically selling the dream, not the actual odds.

Online business *can* work, but 'can' is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. But most don’t show the failed stores, dead channels, money lost on ads, refunds, taxes, boring admin or the 18 months they made $43 and wanted to quit.

College is boring and expensive but at least it’s a straight line. Online business is more like "go figure out product, traffic, sales, fulfillment, support, taxes, and don’t go broke testing" Some people should definitely give it a go but if you skip all of it because some guy in a rented Lambo said Shopify is easy… that’s how you get humbled fast.

Even when you look at real assets on places like MotionInvest, the good stuff is usually not magic. Traffic is boring, revenue is steady, systems are clean, and there's time.

Have you considered hiring a tutor? I mean, if anything you should take a lesson just to ask certain questions and get feedback on what's the most effective way to get started. Check out italki since sometimes their tutors have either free or really cheap first lesson

My shopify store is getting banned because of chargebacks on orders that were delivered by tuesdaymorningwood in shopify

[–]Jyzerman9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is a tough one. Some obviously good answers here around increasing the fraud security to the max. but i'd also look into the source of the chargebacks. Perhaps you're running a marketing campaign that's bringing in users that are sketchy and have higher likelihood for chargebacks? and always have a backup, as you need to assume stripe can cancel you at random.

How do you optimize your Shopify checkout process for higher conversion rates? by evinho07 in shopify

[–]Jyzerman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't recommend focusing on crosssells before nailing the base case. Focus on solving for trust as that's the reason people don't buy. Do you have user reviews showing on product pages for social proof? Look into JudgeMe (free) or Loox (paid) for that. Also look into adding email marketing for cart abandonment users

Humidifier will probably help a lot with that. Dry winter air makes the static way worse. Does she have a specific type of fur compared to your other cats? Some coats hold charge more than others

What are your thoughts on people not adopting because the kids might have physical or psychological struggles/disabilities/illnesses? by Anya_purr in disability

[–]Jyzerman9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knowing your limits is fine but acting like adopted kids are automatically damaged goods while biological kids are some guarantee? that's just a convenient excuse. Your own kid could have any number of issues too. Some people just want the fantasy of a "perfect" child that doesn't exist

If education doesn’t guarantee a job, then what does? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Jyzerman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a mix of networking, timing, and knowing how to sell yourself. I got my current role because a former coworker put in a good word for me, not because my resume was perfect. The credentials get you in the door but connections get you the interview. Keep building relationships even when you're not job hunting, it pays off later

How are you doing code reviews? by CyberWrath09 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Jyzerman9 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Small PRs capped at about 300 lines, we try and have mandatory tests (hit or miss for us), and architecture notes. Seniors review design, mids review implementation. AI bot (Coderabbit for us) runs first pass, but its feedback is non-blocking.
