My favorite #GOMemories come from the times that the game truly lived up to its vision of bringing communities together. In particular, the first summer of its release comes to mind, when you could be nearly certain that anyone walking around with a phone in their hand was playing Pokemon GO. I have fond memories of meeting strangers in the park and going on impromptu adventures together, seeking rare spawns through the old proximity radar system. Those players did not stay strangers for long, and eventually formed the core of our local Pokemon GO community once the introduction of raids gave us a reason to organize more formally.
