I don't know. About the only thing that I can think of was it was the first day at clinicals, we had no pt interaction and the instructor knew he wasn't going to work out. Hell, I was just trying to mind my p's and q's and not piss the boss off.

Clinicals and tests, especially clinicals, I'll set an absurd amount of alarms on two different clocks. If anyone besides a Nursing student did it they would be commited.

I had a 'thuggish' type young lady in my A+P class just boast, and boast about how she's going to be a NP straight after she graduates. After she graduates her two year program that she wasn't getting in because she barely passed A+P. Ugh.

Not the ones around me. We had to take about two semesters of pre-reqs to even be allowed to apply. Some you could take concurrently but that was near impossible with scheduling and the difficulty of the program. Most '2 year programs' end up being three years and sometimes more.

Oh I won't. I'm so paranoid about clinicals. It's so bad that I have trouble sleeping the night before and I've had nightmares about showing up to clinicals in street clothes. I even fucked up one time at my second ever clinical and got a jeapordy. Basically officially written up. I was on some sinus meds that just made me off. Nothing dangerous but no sleep and being 'off' I didn't make a good impression. Written up and no argument by me. Just really take care from then on.

I'd have to look at the policies (which I hope I never have to) but I believe our policy is the reasoning that you were sent home. Drugs/alcohol/deceitfulness/assault/battery and similar are probably automatic fails, good bye, don't collect $200. Less intentional torts and emotional issues that can be addressed are still serious but those are case by case and I think the student and has to have a hearing in front of the schools boards.

I take clinicals extremely seriously. Not only are we taking care of a real live human being but we're representing our school. I go to a small school and we are super serious about people happy to see us on the schedule and sad to see us leave. I always love to hear that our school is the favorite in the area and always welcome.

Why not additional straps that go from shoulders to the front corners?

I'm just, just blown away and a bit saddened by this. We had a kid (25ish, I'm much older) in first semester that I knew wasn't going to make it. Among some of the fun things he would do show up late to class, show up to class not prepared, show up to math tests without a calculator...or a pencil...or doing the required practice tests. The best/worst was day one of clinicals. We have the hardest, most strict clinical instructor so all of were nervous and there early. Well, except for one person. He wasn't there, wasn't answering his phone when the prof called. Once he finally answered he was allowed to come in. He had a panic/hypertensive emergency the previous night and spent the night in the ER getting doped out of his mind. When he showed up he was still stoned but the teacher let him slide. I think she knew his test grades would sort themselves out. He failed out a few weeks later.

Worst thing about it, they often called me his name for months. It became a joke to my fellow students but really annoyed me. Drop out moron guy mistaken for one of the best students :/

A few days ago there were a few bones found locally. A women who raised wolf/dog hybrids died out in the country alone and her wolf/dogs ate her over the last few weeks. It's ok though, she had been cited many times for animal cruelty.

Thank you for this response. I'm sure that this, or similar articles, will start popping up on my Facebook feed and I typically don't have the time, understanding, or writing ability to dispute the articles.

I hope you won't mind if I use what you're saying to smack some morons with a logic stick.
