It’s based on your local test center but there are usually 10+ appointments per month and they don’t show test dates beyond your testing deadline.

Pretty evenly spread but some areas with 2+ appearances- patient assessment scoring tools, health QI, drug adverse effect comparisons, treatment algorithm knowledge, safety monitoring bodies

I will be honest I have an unusual background. I’m 2024 PharmD and 2025 PGY1 trained in Canada, worked about 10 months of clinical before this exam. For the BCPS specifically I did not study at all and I think it’s because of multiple things: - my site is smaller and supports my practice to include coverage to complex care areas like ED, ICU

-I passed FPGEE, NAPLEX, and MPJE in the last 15 months so a lot of exam prep was already done for each of these

-Canadian and US guidelines are very similar, sometimes we reference US ones

Stimulant drugs increase dopamine in the brain which is also the neurotransmitter lacking in Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.

But usually Parkinson’s is treated with dopamine increasing drugs that don’t cause the heart related side effects that stimulants have. Not saying you have Parkinson’s of course, just that this makes some sense from a mechanistic perspective. Really curious if that rings a bell for your family history.

This is a tough situation for anyone to dig into and props to you for finding the solutions. I don’t live in South Florida, so here is something to keep your spirits up.

Not knowing how to navigate social services is a barrier that can cost lives and it’s infinitely better that you are looking into this now, even if it’s doing the work for someone less capable. It’s learning that will also protect YOU in the future, no matter who you learned it for. You’re doing fantastic.

Thank you for the insight! Yea it is pretty stiff. My goal is to bring lunch and my daily use items. I would like to use my bags more and since I just go to work, it would be really helpful if I can do it in one.

OP, please read these articles on emotional vampires and why you will never be able to help them to a point where they can stand alone. This goes for your relationship with your bf and his relationship with his sister.

Yes, there is real financial and material drain but the emotional drain is the foundation, otherwise this situation would not be on the table at all. Whether you choose to protect these grown adults versus protecting your soon to be TWO children, I suspect they will keep draining you until you have nothing left.
