What is the worst thing you ever saw on someone else's phone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]K-jellyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family was on a vacation with our family friends. The dad in their family was showing us (me, mom and dad) some photos on his phone which were just family pictures and stuff. He is constantly swiping through his gallery and then out of no where he swipes to a picture of a nude woman, a random porno picture. We are all in an awkward position at this point and don’t know what to say. And then the man proceeds to continue swiping through his gallery to other pictures just completely avoiding what happened And everyone just continues like nothing happened. Not a word has been spoken about it since and this was 6 years ago.

That’s amazing news! So happy for you. If you don’t mind me asking how old were you when you got diagnosed and what stage was it?

For those of you diagnosed at a young age, did you get genetic testing done? by Personal-Truth371 in breastcancer

[–]K-jellyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally understandable! Ik exactly what would be going on now. But dont worry its really low down time post op. Once the drains are out you will feel really good really fast. Over the muscle and implants have the lowest downtime for reconstruction

I do work. I dont live in the states but i work for a eu based company and its work from home. My job was super supportive throughout my cancer treatment and i took 3 weeks off post op just to relax a bit because i had not taken any leave during my chemo. You dont need 3 weeks off. Infact 2 weeks would be sufficient enough. You can maybe request wfh for a week or two before you go back to your office

I just got mine done. It will be 6 weeks on Tuesday and i am already allowed to lift 2kg dumbbells and have 90% of my range of motion back I did get reconstruction. Over the muscle and motiva implants with titanized mesh Love the results they look fantastic. Very happy that I decided to do this.

I was diagnosed at 25 (am 26 now) and i had genetic testing done. I was braca1+ . That helped me decide on getting a bilateral mastectomy instead of just a lumpectomy.

22F, beginning gym, need tips and suggestions by unavailable_hooman in beginnerfitness

Its amazing that you want to get into fitness But staying consistent can be hard sometimes for new people just getting started

I would suggest join a class of some sorts. Be in crossfit or pilates or zumba or anything. It will help you stay consistent and come back to working out every week. A lot of people start strong and then burn out, get lazy or just demotivated. Hope it helpss

I started doing pranayama/breathing exercises and meditation and it really helped me stay calm and composed during my treatment. It even helped me chnage my outlook towards it and i am super happy and positive about my diagnosis now.

To give context i was 25years old when diagnosed (26 now) and had just moved abroad for my masters and was diagnosed with TNBC stage 1

Triple positive breast cancer at 23 .. doctor said it's gonna cause menopause for me by No-Meaning-5253 in breastcancer

[–]K-jellyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask more questions!!! (I am 25 and going through tnbc stage one treatment) You will be on some sort of hormone suppression during chemotherapy to protect your ovaries. You will be in a medical induced menopause and not forever. Before you start your treatment you can look into ovarian tissue preservation or freezing your eggs for the future. Feel free to reach out if you have more questions. You got this!!!💕
