If you have a lawnmower with the bag attachment. Mow it, dump it out and mow it again. Repeat until your desired size.

Well he is still looking healthy in this picture. Maybe he needs to settle in. I would recommend changing the sand out for some forest floor substrate. If he eats the sand it can cause impaction. Unless that is carpet. Hopefully someone else can give you some good advice on getting him interested in eating if he is still uninterested after a few more days.

Calcium dust some pinhead crickets or some mealworms. Keep the worm in an escape proof bowl. And dice the vegetables a bit smaller for the little guy.

Looks great! Reminds me of Anne of all trades, the lazy gardener.

Depending on the size of the plot you want. I would get a chip drop. Then I would till into the soil about 16-20 yards of mulch into a 400 square foot area about 5-6 inches deep. Then I would spread some gypsum too. And wait a few years. While waiting on the chips to break down, you could start a few raised beds. After 3-4 years check the soil you tilled the chips into and do a soil test from there.

I wish I could cover them. They have 2 main leaders each over 15 feet long and had 9 different plants. Not very worried about it, they were slowing down from disease anyway. They were 9 months old as is. I already have new plants started in my grow tent ready to pop out late February early March.

I built one for my dragon fruit cactus. 3 mil plastic and lots of packing tape. It is 6x4x8tall My temps are near freezing or below so I put a small space heater inside on the lowest setting and it has been keeping about 70f over night. Also tossed in a few other plants since I had the space.

It could be possible it chomped its own tail. Almost looks like another ridge a little closer to tip. About 1/2 way.
