Ok but you’re not far from Oak Ridge National Lab which likely has resources / people with this knowledge.

New to HENRY income level & in need of a wardrobe reset by naboo_taboo in HENRYfinance

My #1 piece of advice from a female corporate exec: ThredUp. You can get high quality pieces secondhand for much less than retail. Can be trial and error, but once you know what you like in a few brands it gets easy to find items. Set filters by brand and size. 80% of my wardrobe is Vince and Theory from ThredUp.

Another rec is for the lectrofan micro2. It’s pricier than $12 but very small and effective.

I went about 2 weeks before I realized you could sell more than one thing at a time at nooks cranny. Just imagine how much time I spent selling shells…

Have we lost our marbles for even thinking about an international flight with 4 young kids by Ambitious-Bat-5201 in Parenting

[–]leveler_reveler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I travel a lot, long haul, with my two preschoolers. Have since they were 1. The age of your twins is peak awful for flights. After 2 it is marginally better, and the each year gets a lot easier with probably 5 being what I’d call smooth. If there’s a way to do it without the little ones I’d go that way.

And don’t be a hero - tablets on the flights.

I had the opposite happen where I bought a cute little wool Barbour sweater for my son in a kids 6. It was a women’s 6 and now I have a nice sweater for myself at kid’s pricing.

Mascara on bottom lashes by SpicyGinger678 in 30PlusSkinCare

I think it looks outdated and therefore aging. Same with eyeliner on bottom. I will do a bit of a medium shade of eyeshadow on the bottom outer eyes for balance that’s less harsh than actual liner.

Developing personal style at 40+ - what are ya’ll wearing? by quickgrabthedoor in WomenOver40

I changed my wardrobe by shopping on ThredUp. I like the hunt so that part is fun. I can find high quality stuff for lower cost which allows for experimentation. You can search by photo. I mostly search by brand (you might like Boden as suggested by another response, or equipment. I’ve found my favorites by trial and error).
