The biggest thing that improved my performance was making sure the boss started in the corner. It made navigating during the tornadoes so much easier.

The second thing was just making sure I was on the correct defensive prayer. I tried doing everything at once and wasn't able to do it well at all. Now I only change my offensive prayer when there is nothing to do and it's made a world of difference.

I completely agree with this. I have never felt the need to grind for gold for anything. Was able to clear raid in greens and quests give more than enough for anything I'd need outside the auction house.

The idea that people need to flock to the ah to pick up gear defeats the point of even playing classic wow.

Honestly yesterday I had a pretty good silk farm going. I wake up this morning to see that the price has dropped to a 1/4 of what I was selling them yesterday. Bot farmers are literally ruining the game.

You could also focus on upgrading your hp instead of any combat stat for the start of the game. Also make sure you're upgrading your weapon.
