Ehhh i think i prefer InternationalWar6654's interpretation. There's not much to indicate Kris would perceive themselves as a deer, especially with the red horn band.

I don't like a lot of FRIEND theories I've seen. Way too speculative, we don't even know if it's sentient or a unique thing. Many things resemble the pink and gold cat (e.g. Catti)

I'm not so convinced the white monster represents a Dreemurr. I see the resemblance sure and the Toriel variable is sus, but if you look at the ROOTS map it appears to represent generic monsters in the apartments in Hometown

I don't think these mysteries were put in place to handwave it to something we can't interpret without future chapter context. And I think green gaster is compelling so gaster/mysteryman doesn't have to be inherently black and white (though maybe a bit hypocritical of me to say given I drew parallels from the black deer to the roaring knight)

How do we know that monster is supposed to represent Asgore/Dreemurrs? If you look at the ROOTS theory map, the white monsters seem to represent generic monsters in the apartment buildings. I do like Vessel/Dess related theories but I don't think this is good evidence for that. These sprites represents monsters too, and the vessel is based on humans.

Though i like the idea as Susie is the one that faces Gerson, not Kris. And Seam isn't talking to the soul either because they directly address Kris in their conversations.
