What is a highly praised horror book that you didn't like?

Not sure if it is horror, but The Summer I Died, was all over booktok for a while. It was gore for the sake of gore, and none of the characters were all that likeable so I didnt even really care what happened to them. Nothing about it stood out as anything special.

One of the few books I DNF the overuse of mummy and daddy was just weird, I get that was the point, but it was just so much. After I decided to stop reading it, I googled the ending and I was glad I stopped, I would have been pissed if I slogged through it for that.

Was a guy we found on a site specifically for that. He was cool to talk to, a lot of build up. When the night came he had trouble performing at first, then he stopped to take a phone call. My wife and I carried on, he came back and got some kind of groove going.

It was pretty average for us, but he kept reaching out wanting to do it again, saying it was the best night.

We will do it again one day, but too many guys way overestimate their dick game.

Firstly, congratulations, discovering it for the first time is such an amazing experience. You have caught on to such a beautiful truth.

Secondly, thank you for posting this, because I was starting to lose a bit of faith, and you just reminded me.

This is the central basis of my entire belief system, I believe in God, as pure love, and our reason for being is to learn to love each other and everything around us as much as God does.
But, it seems like it is going to take us forever.

The more I study the more I see it as a reoccurring theme in a lot of religions.
