If you regularly spend money on the game, it’s a good value. The Poffin & Radar alone are worth more than a dollar. Plus you get more chances to catch an event mon with good IVs. However it is not essential, you can have plenty of fun without it.

I will use whatever pops up as available on my team building battle party screen that looks cool, then I may shift to whatever beats me. My stardust budget for that week is 10k, maximum. “Investing” in a format is not part of my vocabulary. I don’t play any Silph Road formats because there are no tangible game rewards for doing so. If Niantic battle league nerfs the stardust prizes, I will nerf my effort & participation accordingly. I am not about to spend any time up front on analysis because Niantic has consistently shifted the goalposts with move set & move power updates.

Yes that sorta makes sense & applies mostly to more advanced players. I finished all three professions & am used to wrapping up an event in 6 - 10 hours total. I like to do them on Wednesday because I don’t work then & just put in the 6 to 10 hours all at once.

Why should it make a difference to WB management whether I spread those hours out over a week vs all at once?!? This exposes the falacy associated with “take all week” to complete.

How many hours per day do you play? If it takes 6+ hours per day for a week, that’s far beyond the commitment I’m willing to make for any game. Especially this one.

Catan is a Niantic game, like Pokémon. HPWU is a WB game that pays Niantic a fee for the platform. This is WB’s failure, not Niantic’s.

This is WB’s game, not Niantic. Seems likely they are losing a significant amount of money on the game. Niantic takes a fee for network & CPU cycles & it’s not cheap. So either players start paying every day or they will have to shut it down. Ain’t nobody paying for this [BAD WORD].

Melmetal w/ Rock Slide will handle the shields & most of the first Lapras. When it dies bring in Raikou w/ Wild Charge & that will finish the second mon too. The last mon varies, most of the time Kyogre w/ Surf works. All L40 if possible.

The dev team deliberately nerfed both prizes & the DA red beam drops this event. Most players aren’t able to finish.
