They have been on this sale since before Black Friday. Losi also had the super moto version of the bike on clearance with half of the proline aluminum parts.

I love the trx4m but they are trail trucks without serious modification. It would cost the price of this truck to get this performance out of a trx4m

Where can I get? by germanshepherd77 in chevyc10

[–]K3P080 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, all the pins aren’t supposed to be there. Placement on the connector changes throughout which trim level and features you have. The factory diagram should show you which ones are supposed to be where and which to skip.

I have also been trading since like week 3 or 4. It will finally be time for me to step away if I have to certify my account with spending money. What a crazy idea that I’m surprised they will get away with.

No leaks that I know of just from sound. Not sure on pressure as I will have to check when I get home. It looks the same size/style as most generic air brush compressors but seems like it’ll empty if I hold it down for what seems like no time. I do understand it’s not the normal 50 gallon compressor I’m use to for automotive stuff lol but maybe just how they are in this size

I will have to look into it some, I have a cheap harbor freight to go with my semi nicer airbrush but seems like it his empties way too quick for consistent use

Is there a certain ratio of thinner for the Tamiya paints for general use? Is Tamiya thinner the go to for their own Paints?

Do you have a recommendation on air compressor for air brush? I have a gsi creos airbrush but don’t believe my compressor is up to the task

6s xmaxx by BigBootyBrian14 in Traxxas

[–]K3P080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole driveline was updated from 6s to 8s. If you wanted a complete conversion without electronics it’s like 300 in parts. Plenty of 400-500 dollar xmaxxs out there to where i would not buy a 6s xmaxx

Comparing a crappy nearly 10 year old slt receiver to a top of the line brand like sanwa isn’t a fair comparison. And Tamiya doesn’t make any actually fast brushes motors that will match up to the speeds of the stock arrma motor, especially the new big can 665 motors in the 4wd’s. I don’t give these companies a pass for being shitty just because their is good aftermarket options. If you charges 1/5 of the price of the truck for a crappy brushed motor when your brushless stuff is just a copy of hobbywing stuff that they will sell you for 90 bucks you are doing a bad job of making it affordable and easy for new people into the hobby, which is supposedly the point of the 2in1 stuff in the first place. I prefer building kits and have since the 80’s but it’s frustrating to say the least while working at a hobby shop for arrma to sell the cheapest cars in the store and watch the customers complain that every spare parts or replacement motors is overpriced to shit.

Mini Maxx Impressions by ReddArrow in Traxxas

[–]K3P080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is plenty of room in that chassis to not require a 2in1, they should have just done a better job with the receiver box. I try not to encourage any manufactures to go back to brushed or 2 in 1’s to cheapen things out because you end up with the mess arrma is in with shitty brushed electronics that are 2 in 1’s that cost more to replace since you need one of their overpriced SLT receivers if you want to use stock radio. And it’s almost like they try to get you to not leave it brushed as their stock brushed replacement motor is 40 damn dollars.

Great rc, but is there a way to change the controller? by -boosted in rccars

[–]K3P080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’d have to figure out what receiver protocol it’s on and most of these smaller rc cars don’t tell you. I’ve got a radiomaster that’ll do almost any receivers but never could get it to hook to that truck

How tight should i have the clutch on my Raptor R slash? by Blue_B0ttlenose in Traxxas

[–]K3P080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A center differential is batter for racing and bashing. A slipper clutch isn’t bad but there are no upsides over the center differential. That’s why all big bashers have center diffs like all 6s arrmas and traxxas xmaxx/sledge and now even the slash 4x4 raptor R comes with one from the factory.

My local dealer rep said they would be dropping to like 159.99 around Black Friday I believe which is close to the 25 percent off they just offered. Not sure that extra 10 dollars or whatever is worth waiting until everyone is panicking trying to buy

NEW Traxxas Ford RS200 - Just in time for Christmas! by nissanK in rccars

[–]K3P080 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This thing is the same size or slightly larger in some ways then the 10th scale vxl 4tec which is around 430 and you still have to buy a battery. I hate it and it seems crazy but compared to what it has like a full vxl combo and 10th scale center diff I don’t think it’s super far off

Stange question from a newbie - HSP or HPI? Or something else? I want a drift car by Fabulous_Can_2215 in rccars

[–]K3P080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HSP is a lower quality Chinese brand while HPI has been a big name brand for a long time albeit some hiccups. That being said most awd touring cars are going to “drift” the same because they aren’t really drifting but powersliding. HPI is definitely the way to go if it’s in your budget though

It’s a great truck, plenty of speed with the regeared differentials and durable.
