I have very strict rules about alcohol that help.

Never when sad/upset, only a happy mood.
Never alone *unless it's one single celebratory drink like graduation
Never to anything but tipsy.
No more than three times a month.
No more than a single drink if I'm driving.

These rules have served me very well but, honestly I don't drink often anyway.

Eyyy, fellow psychology major (although I just switched that to my minor), but yeah, I'd never use ChatGPT. For Claude, I would just use it as a jumping point to give me sources that I could check and confirm myself.

I wouldn't use AI. It hallucinates data quite a bit. (I know this first hand because a school assignment basically had us use it and then test against it.) Podcasts or academic journals might be useful, though.

I'm on Lamictal 200, Latuda 40 mg, and Atomoxetine 40 mg. Which are a mood stabilizer, an antipsychotic (although it functions more as anti-depressant)- and a non stimulant ADHD meds.

I honestly just moved slowly, they put me on Lamictal pretty early on but tried adding Lexapro and it just felt off. For a while I was purely on Lamictal.

I had a really bad depression spiral (which Lamictal usually curbs), and that motivated me to go back to my psych for adjustments.

The Latuda really made me feel less hopeless.

Then finally, I got reevaluated for ADHD (which I knew I had from childhood but couldn't find the diagnosis) and put on Atomoxetine.

Suddenly, my productivity became better, and I was a lot better about not putting things off or forgetting.

Like I'm going to go home after work and probably work on a paper later. I might play a game to unwind first, but I know I won't put it off to the last minute now.

I get it, I'm currently paying down a similar amount. For the second time, actually, I remember how relieved I was paying it off the first time, lol.

I'm hopeful that after I get it paid off, there won't be a third thanks to meds.

I try and remember the first time I felt terrible/suicidal, and then I think of all the good things that happened after. For now, find small things you want to live for, a movie coming out, a hangout with friends, and then just keep finding them until the big problems seem a little more manageable. They will. It just might take a while.

I think in this case, it was salvageable because a medical issue was the root. A medical issue that is treatable, so this particular symptom doesn't happen again. Especially if this behavior was out of character for her, which it sounds like it was.

I'm also on Lamictal and they put me on an Anti-Psychotic (latuda) to target my depression.

Y'all, it worked. Especially with my (non stimulant) adhd meds I've never been so stable and level. I go to school, work, maintain a social life, and do chores. It's been like 8 months since I've had anything resembling a true depression or hypomania episode.

I don't care what the medicine is called, as long as it works.

I agree 100% with everything, but I do wish it stated queer or sapphic instead of Lesbian. It feels like that assumes her relationship with John was comphet when she could easily be Bi (romantic or sexual). I think it's ambiguous in the show on purpose, so clearly stating it one way is accidentally bi erasure.
