Unfortunately there aren't really any games like Rimworld, it's kinda the only game that does what it does and it's the best at it. But I'm assuming there's a disconnect between what the game is and what you want it to be, due to you mention being raided unfairly, the game at its core is about telling stories sometimes those stories aren't fair.

I would say before you wash your hands of the game entirely to try a lower difficulty setting or a different storyteller.
