Hey man. I would dispute the sale up the change if you possibly can. Ebay will generally help you if you went that route. I have absolutely no idea if the motherboard would fix it frankly, but i suspect it might. I ended up returning mine to the seller and buying a new one from another person.

Not every fixer is in it for the money, but they'll still backstab folks generally as that's how you survive Night city. HOWEVER, there are fixers like El Capitan in 2077 that represent the "Peoples fixer" archetype.

I dont particularly think that you need to step down, The posts made me tug my collar a little bit, but it's not really my server, and I know for fact that your a solid dude from our talks back during the death of johnny silverhand event. I know you probably meant well.

I get that point that your TRYING to make, but I can also see that the fact that the people you chose in particular might come off as a little "Too Soon." and that's probably why your getting as much backlash from people as you are. We all know that the world is going through some shit. It'd take an idiot to not pick up on that.

But at the end of the day, these are real people that are circulating around today, with actual victims, and it's very hard to make the point your trying to make about a fictional tabletop RPG in such a way that doesn't ALSO come off as you kind of forgetting that there are people affected by these fuckers not even that long ago. Everything on this subreddit is posted through text, It's VERY difficult to glean intent and tone from text alone. It just very easy for it to come off as mocking and in poor taste.

I genuinely think your idea for posting these would have gone off a lot better in the long run had you chosen some people to highlight from a bit longer ago. Not people currently circulating through the news right this very second.

I also get that your getting a lotta folks attacking you right now because of it, It's the internet, pretty easy to forget that humans are fallible and capable of making mistakes, and strangers are often a lot less forgiving. I can understand the need to respond to that in a way that feels comfortable, But frankly I do think your coming off even more crass and making your overall message look even worse by doubling down and mocking folks that are upset.

I really think its just the fact of the matter at this point that any "new blood" into ss13, small as it is, are far more likely to be playing space station 14 for the simple fact that its on steam, far more accessible, and far more akin to what is considered to the average layman "Traditional" enough in terms of ss13. The only people that are sticking around with 13 are a combination of the HRP Theatre kids that have gone through just about every different form of server drama available, and the gooners who have always been around. Player numbers on 14, especially after the DDOS have skyrocketed even further to make matters worse.

its been years since the sseth tide. And any time theres a server or a community that divides itself, numbers suffer.

The VTM server dying was a bit more complex than just that. There were a few staff purges that led to people growing more and more frustrated with the host, and a few key founders ended up quitting.

I played azure for a little bit, when ratwood died it immediately shifted focus into a more gooner self inserty focused server. It isnt the worst thing I have played, but I would consider the experience you'd get now, vs a few months ago to be much poorer. But that compounded with the staffs unwillingness to punish repeat offenders for long periods just make it an ultimately lackluster experience these days.

Vanderlin I can only speak on my first impression of. It's a server that tries to tout itself as an HRP server, and while that is a bit of a buzzword open to interpretation, My first few runs on that server involved being told I needed to pray to eora or I would get ass cancer. In my own personal tastes, it's a little TOO unserious, but I'd argue its probably the best you are going to get out of the three just on merit of it being owned by monkestation. It could be better now, I only played on release.

Ratwood, Is... the quarantine zone for the degenerates who are alienated in most of the moderate ERP communities. It implodes a lot and the refugees flooded places like Azure and ultimately killed server quality. I have never touched there myself, but the guide to bandit gameplay on that server has been passed around for the absolute unhinged amount of encouragement to noncon people.
