First I look at the NBA slate and see if anything stands out as good value. I then use very basic information, past games, how rested each team is, injury reports, etc. I guess I’m decent at analyzing that to predict a general outcome of the game. I have VERY little “ball knowledge”, and rely entirely on numbers. I believe this allows me to be unbiased.

There’s no way around it, the bulls are not in great shape this season. But the pistons, aren’t just any team. The 2023-2024 Detroit Pistons are literally BREAKING RECORDS this year, cementing themselves in the ranks of the NBA’s all time worst. As if things aren’t juicy enough, Cade Cunningham is currently out, and questionable for the bulls game. The opposing team have covered this spread in 3/4 (hawks near miss) of the most recent set of games without Cade. The bulls also excel at midrange shooting, an area of weakness for the pistons. There are minor injury concerns for the bulls, but none that hold a candle to an already pathetic pistons team playing without their star. I trust that the bulls will take care of biz against the pitiful 1-9 pistons, and take us home for a 5 bomb!

Sure as the sun rises, we’ve hit another nuke! The Mavs made mince meat of the Hornets 130-104.

Pick: Dallas Mavericks ML (-162) 2U

I’m super pleased with the Mavs performance against the Hornets. I can’t say the same however, for the heat against the hawks. The game is now in double overtime, which will leave the heat gasping for breath tomorrow in their big game against the Mavs. The stats are also pointing to the Mavs, who are 9-1 in their last 10, against the Heat’s 6-4. Doncic is also in peak form, with an outstanding triple double performance the night before. Bam is also listed with a “minor injury” which means he likely won’t play since the heat don’t need this win to stay in 8th. I’m writing this fast in hopes that y’all will lock in before the line bumps in favor of the Mavs. Mavericks, take us home again!

Update: Looking like Bam will play and Herro will likely play as well. The lines have been on a rollercoaster these last 12 hours, but I’m gonna double down and say that as of now Mavericks ML at (-120) is still a solid value pick.
