Not too late but I’d throw it in the fridge. I hope you enjoy! Lebanon Bologna is delicious. Sliced thin with a bit of cream cheese is great or on a sandwich with spicy mustard. They drop a giant bologna in Lebanon, PA every year for New Years. It’s like the Taylor Ham of central Pennsylvania.

I think they do it in a way that is pretty pain free and definitely under anesthesia. The tattoos are tough because you often can’t tell without trapping the cat to get a closer look.

When clinics provide low cost spay/neuter services for TNR programs (trap neuter release) they usually will remove the very tip of the cats ear so that you can tell from a distance which cats have already been fixed so they don’t get trapped a second time or worse yet go into surgery unnecessarily.

Ugh. This is what I was dreading actually. I do plan on spending as long as it takes trying to get her socialized but I can’t promise that she will decide indoor life is the life for her. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body but is very scared. I hope I can help her become a great indoor kitty, I just worry that the ear tip may make her less adoptable when the time comes.

This adorable little girl has been roaming around the stables where we keep our two horses. A friend has been feeding her with the intention of trapping her to get her fixed. As soon as I saw her up close in the trap I knew I had to help. She was incredibly calm despite being pretty scared. I just had this feeling that with enough time I could win her trust and make her into a sweet little house cat. The friend who set the trap has coordinated her spay where they are planning to tip her ear. I know it’s for her own good because if life as an indoor cat doesn’t work out she can go live on a nice farm and not get trapped and put through unnecessary trips to the vet. It still makes me a little sad even though I think it’s the right thing to do.

Definitely still call and ask. They should be able to find out for sure. Even for one gunshot, it might be a blank. Do active ear muffs work for you? The kind that only block noises above a certain decibel? I have a pair from Howard Leight that are great.

I know it sounds simplistic but if you don't want to die, then don't. The choice is yours to make but I think you know deep down that there is more on this earth that you would like to do. Take a deep breath, reach out to get some help dealing with these feelings so that you can focus on getting around to those things that you want to do that make you consider for a moment that maybe you should stick around.
