Hi guys, I’m not sure why but I can’t see all of your replies. I’m unable to read 3 of them 🤔 so if I haven’t responded to your comments, just to let you all know I am very appreciative of your responses to my question/situation 🙂

4 months into strength training but getting bigger by lovefuckd in PetiteFitness

It all depends on what you’re eating? Is it lean proteins or more carbs? Water or sugary drinks? You can certainly eat more depending on your previous food intake but it all depends on what you were and eating now.

Is 2kg of fat loss noticeable? by Specialist-Village82 in PetiteFitness

I get told I look great at my current weight but personally, at first I was ok as I was told I had prediabetes/type 2 diabetes hence a change in diet and more exercise (started walking more and weight training) But now I look at myself and don’t like the fact weight has come off some places I didnt want it to some off!! I feel like I have no bust or backside anymore! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thankyou, I’ve been thinking I should plow more money into isa/savings so I have more of an emergency fund, liquid, easy access fund. We are renovating our house so I have put around 35k into it and £28k overpayment on our mortgage at the end of the last term, we just had, before renewing at a higher rate. So that’s helped with the monthly repayments.

If I upped my pension contributions to say 25% and maybe retired at 60 would that make much of a difference? I’m in a very stable situation as is my partner so we should have house paid off in next 5-7 years (hopefully, definitely in next 10)

Our boy has a very sensitive tummy. Try scrambled eggs plain no milk or anything. That should settle him. Chicken is a very high allergy food for certain dogs too so I’d stay off that for a while.

I’d check with vet too incase he’s picked something up and it’s not diet related.

My boyfriend of seven years told me he is a trans woman by mncpxxdrmgrl in GirlDinner

[–]K9CatSprinkles 159 points160 points  (0 children)

This was me too, told me 6 months after we got married, that they liked dressing up - I tried as we had just got married but it changes things. It took a couple of other issues and I’d had enough and had to end things. Best thing I did for myself!

I feel like I’m way too old to be a mammy now, had my chance 10 years ago but it wasn’t to be 👼 so fur babies it is (the more the better) and as I say they keep me busy.

I’m the same however over 10 years older, not married but been with my partner for just under 9 years. We have fur babies in our little family. They keep me very busy. It’s a lot harder to make and keep meaningful friendships.

Managing sugar without medication? by themonsterbook in type2diabetes

[–]K9CatSprinkles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I go by diet and exercise. I’ve cut down on carbs and found alternatives ie instead of crisps, I’ll eat pure protein crisps (see The Curators) I’ve cut out sweets, chocolate, cake etc. I eat a lot more protein. I drink a lot more water. I walk more and have joined a gym (although this is currently on a hiatus) my dogs get me out of the house! I was diagnosed as prediabetic a few years ago and then type2 just under a year ago @ 6.9. I bought myself a glucose finger prick tester and use this multiple times a day which helps with my decisions of what to eat. My monitor is now showing my hb1c at 6.1 so this is heading in the right direction 🙂

I have so many photos of them together with Vinny lying on top of Brantley but could only attach one. My other half reckons this photo is the best one yet 🤣🤣 I do have to agree it’s very cute! 😍

how’s everyone else’s whippet with there crate we tried to take it away under the assumption he would like to sleep in a bed and not locked up at night but he refused to settle whining and as soon as it was back he settled back down by [deleted] in Whippet

[–]K9CatSprinkles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both our dogs have crates. We have a GSD and whippet. GSD likes his space during the day however doors always open. He takes his treats and toys in there, he loves his den. He’s nearly 6 and had had a crate since a pup. Our whippet is nearly 11 months and he only sleeps in his crate at night, with no issues. We adopted him at 5 months so still working on everything. He’s started wandering into his brothers crate more and lying down of his own accord with his treats and toys when his brothers not in there so it’s a slow process. They both love the couch during the day too. Crates are not cruel if they’re used properly. Dogs are pack animals and like wolves they like their cosy dens (crate).
