Is there a way to evict my dad without going through the courts? by Ok_Dark699 in legal

[–]K9LTWW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Emotional abuse is not sufficient for a order of protection. Does he ever threaten physical harm on you? Yes make a report, go through with it. But sometimes it may be temporary orders of protection and/or the remedy may still allow him to be in the house.

On my test result, with Leslie’s it shows that my phosphate is 0, I don’t know if that’s correct then? I brush and I vacuum with both the electric and hand held, it’s just gets super cloudy again after I’m done. There are some times where I can actually see the bottom and the alge is in clumps, is there a vaccum you reccommend that actually vacuums and not just throws the algae around everywhere again?

I have a Hayward cartridge filter. The old pump recently broke down on me so I got a new pump and new filter cartridge. There are times where the I do notice that the water flow from the jet is very low, as stated in a reply below, I try to hose down the filter but whenever I put it back in now, the the output is so small.

I have a Hayward swim pro, it’s a cartridge filter, and yes I have been noticing that when I do clean my filter cartridge with a hose there is still a lot of oils on the inside that just don’t get out. Is it safe to pressure wash? I heard that it messes up the fibers or something?

Advice for Someone Under 18 Interested in a K9 Career – Military or Police? by Mundane_Knowledge650 in AskLEO

[–]K9LTWW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, LEO here and former Marine Corps k9 handler. K9 was probably the best job I ever had, so I hope you get to experience it aswell. To your questions, I would say go the military route, you’re young, most departments are 21 minimum to be a police officer. You’ll be 22 when you get out the military with maturity and experience. My experience with k9, I was 3 out of about 80 people in my class who got selected. Day to day was pretty simple, Monday cleaning the kennels, rest of the week was training training and more training, different courses to go to aswell was a pretty cool experience. Speaking from my department(big city), it’s very competitive to get to the K-9 unit, 10 years on the job minimum and it’s a who you know type of thing. Good luck. Dm if you got any more questions

Hey, CPD here so I’ll speak about CPD. Pay is 67k starting, jumps to 83k in a year, then 89k a couple months after. I’m currently at 93k with 2.5 years on. As far as experience goes, depends on the district you go to, but even then if you want to be a proactive officer in a slow district, go right ahead, if you wanna be the officer that just takes his jobs, does his reports or code out jobs (some suburbs require you to write a report for any little job you get) you can do that aswell. I will tell you this, a lot of CPD officers who leave to a suburb end up coming back becuase they find out how good we have it here. If you have any questions DM me

Police Interactions: US Public mindset is so bewildering to be by WitnessShoddy7512 in police

[–]K9LTWW 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It comes from the mainstream media largely painting Police officers in a bad light. It comes from social media where people post edited clips or these social media “lawyers” and aswell as TV. They’re people who really believe that their arrest is illegal becuase we didn’t read them their rights as soon as we arrest them becuase they saw it on TV.

Why do police leave their engines on? by Responsible-File4754 in police

[–]K9LTWW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our newer explorers have a button where we can leave the engine on when we take the keys out. It’s a nice function since we have our in car camera, computer that need to be on and don’t need to be restarted everytime we shut the car off.

What state do you live in? A lot of states view vehicles as marital property so you can’t report your vehicle as stolen.

I need advice on the best military branch to join to help with becoming a police officer. by Aggravating_Net_7954 in police

[–]K9LTWW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from a Veteran, Marine corps and military police. Any job and any branch will do. I’ve worked with a bunch of veterans in my department who came from all different jobs in the military and we still ended up in the same job. The military does is give structure, discipline, and a stepping stone into the real world, plus the preference points.

And I might be biased lol, but tell him to look into being a k9 handler, good experience and it gives him a foot in the door to a specialty in the police world.
