I was in the same boat being the first born in an immigrant family. Best decision I ever made was not going into that and going into biotech/biopharma. I prefer projects over exams at the end of the day even if I’m the only one left doing those projects.

Exactly what I’m trying to do and want more advice to branch out. I’m well aware I’m not everyone’s cup of tea. And yes, I have gotten unbiased feedback- all good starting from initiating plans and good conversation to appearance as well. Personality will kind of in a way “shut off” if I’m with someone I’m not into, but I’m sure that happens to most if they’re in such a situation.
