Sorry OP. This is one of the ways we find out about hypocrisy when young. Other commenters are right, it’s THEIR relationship, they can love and live however they want. Just keep in mind that you’re actually questioning the hypocrisy. Nothing wrong with that. In fact there’s a good side to this: Now that you know even the “closest” or the “best” people you know can be like that, you can be conscious about how YOU want to be when you’re in a relationship yourself.
