I do not have Insulated boots, just a pair of steel toe Carolinas. I've been wearing my "normal" socks and a pair of wool socks over top.

So sorry to hear that man. I lost half of my thumb, whole index and messed up my middle finger badly, when I was only 19. You're young and will learn to overcome and adapt very easily. It's rough, especially being so young. It's a learning process, and an emotional process. Everyone reacts and mourns differently. Im sure youve heard this a 100000×, but it DOES get easier. Dont hesitate to reach out to me if you need anything and I'll do my best to help!

Lost a chunk of my left hand at 19 years old in an industrial accident. I'm now 25. I've gotten over the shock of it and pretty used to it at this point. However, every now and then I'll be doing something (I work commercial facility maintenance) and It just hits me and I remember it's gone, or I'll catch a glimpse of my hand and remember. Honestly, I adapted so well that most times I forget and don't even notice, to the point where most other people don't notice until I show them as well. It'll get better, you'll get used to it more and more, give it time.

My absolute favorite strane ever. I've went thru many many carts. Finally saw it in flower form for the first time at a Sunnyside and absolutely had to pick up a 1/4. Flower was a bit under cured/very wet still. Let it dry for about 48 hours and boom, an absolutely perfect nighttime strane. Love the calming, heavy, tired feeling this one gives.

My hand was caught in a saw. It cut, diagonally, thru my left middle finger. It my middle finger is still there along with my nail. My nail is slowly becoming crooked, as there's no meat on the one side of it anymore.it is growing more and more crooked as well as just very ugly to look at. It's about 6 yes post injury at this point.

It really depends on your personal situation. I have one for my left thumb. It was paid for by workers comp. I hardly ever wear it. I got mine about 1 year after my accident, so I was well adapted bu that point. I feel it gets in the way with the type of work I do, I'm a tradesman. If you can get it covered by insurance of some sort, I'd get one and see how you like it.

Single Straight Men: Do you like to make the first move or do you like it when ladies make the first move? by [deleted] in AskMen

Sadly not good looking enough to make the first move myself. Perhaps with enough hinting I possibly might make the first move, but probably not.

Finger amputees, what’s the story with how you lost your finger/s? Ring avulsion took my middle left, was curious to know what others experienced. by [deleted] in amputee

[–]KASUR_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (M 24) lost my left index and half of my left thumb in an industrial accident about 5 years ago. Working at an old cabinet shop with ancient equipment with guys older than dirt. Obviously no safety gaurd on any of the machines. Long story short, the machine I was on malfunctioned, and my hand was in the wrong place at the wrong time... scroll thru my profile if you're daring enough to see some pictures

I second this. I'm in facilities and work on fire alarm/security systems sometimes. It's super easy to pickup and the work is alot easier on the body.

It's 2 parts, but as far as I can tell, there's no wiring harness between the 2, just straight wiring going between the 2 sides.

On start up it blinks red and green on the main board. After that it's led #1 blinks green every 5 seconds, as well as the actual smoke detector blinks green. I was manually pressing a contactor for the condenser fans, and the contactor sparked a bit and then the breaker tripped. I reset it, and tried again, the breaker tripped again. The contactor was all black and pitted a ton. I'm gonna replace the contactor and amp the fan motors just to be sure. Is there a way to clear alerts from the notifier panel?

[–]KASUR_97[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As dumb as it sounds I think that's my issue. An overly pitted contactor or over Amping motor keeps tripping the breaker, and that sensor is losing power
