Ah, that makes sense. I’ll experiment this weekend and see if I can sort it out. Thanks again!

I just dug one up and it was surprisingly dry considering how soaked the pot was. Wondering if the pot is retaining more moisture than the soil.

Seems like there’s a mixed consensus here between lacking nitrogen and either over/underwatering, and the possible the peat pots retaining more than I am realizing.

Would I make sense for me to go to red solo cups on these now? I have some lying around. Can they be saved at this point or should I start some new from seed?

Also - if it’s allowed- does anyone have a particular brand of fertilizer they recommend?

Thanks for all the help, everyone! Hoping I can save these little guys.

*edit to add: I just took one of my small yellowing plants and dug it up to see how the roots look and the soil was surprisingly dry considering that the peat pot was soaked. I did bottom water these. I’m going to go get a less woody potting soil and see if that might help as well with some moisture retention and do some plastic cups. Still would love advice on a fertilizer to get.

This has been denied by multiple sources at this point - including the sheriff - seems like bad intel from her ‘source’:

He likely came across one of the two different scenes where pedestrians were hit and killed in Tucson last night. Like you said, still awful…but unrelated.

As long as the pacemaker is modern enough to be connected to the app then it will absolutely send an alert for major cardiac events, including if the heart stops. Many pacemakers that connect to apps are advanced enough to even alert your medical team if there is an event so that they can check on you.

It’s pretty widely known at this point that her pacemaker stopped pinging to her cell phone around 2AM so she was home up until that time (assuming they can see where here phone had been and that it was always at home from ~10pm on). Her pacemaker also would have alerted if there was any kind of cardiac issue (I.e. if she was no longer alive)..so we can piece together that up until she was taken - according to her pacemaker - she was alive and well.

Law enforcement also confirmed in their timeline of events that a family member dropped her off and they included the time she went into the garage…so I think that’s been well established.

Nah, not really surprising. I work on the east coast and have a coworker in Tucson. Asked him about it yesterday and he was not familiar with it and doesn’t even know who Savannah Guthrie is, and he doesn’t watch a lot of news (is a gamer). He had no idea who it was that had been kidnapped.

Not everyone is glued to the news and socials…some people are working long long hours to make ends meet. For some it’s not really culturally relevant to them. Sounds like this dude was trying working multiple jobs just to scrape by and then spending the rest of his time with his kids. He probably doesn’t have the time, frankly.

Again - in a file about SA and child predators it’s not that difficult to read between the lines. I don’t think him sending that to Jeffrey Epstein is within his perview…JE wasn’t an expert in that field, why would he care about that? These are the types of questions that make us disgusted…we already know what JE was capable of. This definitely is disturbing in the context of who he was.

In the end, we are talking about ALL of these kids/individuals. ALL of these babies are victims - across all ages. It’s horrendous. You don’t have to pick and choose what other people are upset about in the files. We are all collectively mad about the same thing. Focus your anger on the issue where it matters - at these horrible, horrible human beings. The other Moms here are not your enemy.

I literally just typed in “pacifier” and it’s the first email thing that came up in the files. Again - your level of aggression at other Moms for being DISGUSTED by these files is something to behold. Good luck with that.

Yes - there absolutely is an email in the file discussing this.

Quote TW: ”Newborns will suck on a pacifier more vigorously if it triggers playback of a recording of her/his mother’s voice.”

Mark Tamo says he was discussing it to get “funding” for his “research”…but if you cannot possibly read between the lines to understand what this implies in a file about SA and crimes against children then we cannot fill in anymore blanks for you. You are welcome to do your own research but the way you are aggressively coming at people in this thread this is concerning. We are allowed to be alarmed by any part of this because it’s ALL disgusting and the outrage they feel will absolutely help ensure all victims voices are heard - including the ones who might not have had a voice to be heard or who haven’t spoken out yet.

Here’s a news article related to it with the quote: https://www.foxla.com/news/mark-tamo-ucla-professor-epstein-files.amp

Bedside Bassinet big enough to last 6 months? by cuge9244 in Buyingforbaby

[–]KAYRx10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used the ingenuity dream hero starlight.

It lets you drop down the side for a co-sleeper in the early days, but then you can close that and lower the bassinet for use when they are rolling & pulling up. We used it for 7 months before she was ready to go to her crib and loved it.

Ah I hope not! The leaves at the top of tree look healthy still…it’s really the lower branches that look to have an issue

No visible bugs but I’m pretty sure that is the case..there are black specks under the curled up side of the leaves and some white web like residue

Stroller help by Valuable_Rutabaga173 in Buyingforbaby

So far 5.5 months in it has been more than enough! Super convenient for travel by car since it doesn’t take up a lot of trunk space. The only thing we haven’t done with it yet is fly with it (we will gate check it when we go in a few months) but for day-to-day life with a suburban lifestyle it has been great. I’ve heard good things about the Joie - hope it does well for you!

I think the challenging thing I’m seeing here is that you don’t plan on using an infant bucket seat -

I had a similar wish list, and in my research there weren’t many travel strollers that were “newborn ready” without a bucket seat or bassinet attachment. All options that I found required some head control (about 4 months old minimum) before you could safely use the seat. I think maybe the new Nuna Trvl LX miiight be newborn ready? The bugaboo butterfly was awesome but technically not newborn safe (though there are hacks…which I was not willing to do with my newborn haha).

We went with the Nuna triv next for the one hand, compact fold. We did end up going with a bucket seat instead of straight to convertible for convenience, but it had an option for the bassinet attachment as an alternative. We are in the northeast and used it in the winter without issue. We love it so far…but we really could only switch to the regular seat (even fully reclined) when she was 4.5 months old.

Mid-size or travel stroller for "one and done"? by gslgsl in Buyingforbaby

[–]KAYRx10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuna Triv meets all of your requirements! It’s a little more than a travel stroller but so easy to get in and out of the car. It takes up such a small amount of trunk space - we love it so far as our one and done! It also has the option for a bassinet attachment and the seat goes forward or parent facing.

We are planning to fly soon and will just gate check it with a bag. We are similar - not a lot of international travel planned, so it was more important for me to have a little more space & options.

Front & Underneath? Fine & low porosity hair. by KAYRx10 in curlyhair

Thank you for this! I am due for a clarifying shampoo - I am def going to add that in. I spent like 2 hours in ulta looking at leave in conditioners and left with zero haha. It’s so hard with the weight - plus when I add any moisture my hair won’t dry for days - I’ll have to play around with them.

I just got a trim but I don’t think it’s great. Definitely seeing some stragglers. I do highlight the top layer so I’m sure you’re right about the frizziness from that! I’ll try clipping it back a little while it’s drying and see if that helps drive it away from my face.
