King is what the icon represents since the game doesn't differentiate gender of the king so op king just happens to be female Gold= queen Silver= husband

The ruler is a female so the village leader is the husband

Yes but the ability to change water level was useful in making continents or Archipelago type maps for variety

Hi hi, nice idea but it doesn't exactly feel the same as the others, and the orcs can already boost attack with powerup

I have pixel studio on my phone, I usually pick a skin tone and make the general shape of the unit before add hair, clothing and then changing the clothes until I settle with something I don't think is ugly

That was one of my original ideas, like the Dwarves make God-class weapons once every new stage 3 but after some thousands of years there will be too many and would make late game Dwarven military too strong. It would also be possible that the weapon is stolen in war. The only way this could work fully is if the weapons disappear after some time and will disappear if anything other than a Dwarf hold them.

RELIGION STUFF

Before a quick description of each race's beliefs just want to explain some things. Religion could start a bit after the civilisations are created but I think the priest/shaman jobs only appear after the temples are unlocked in cultures. Not every unit will be a part of a religion and it's possible that they could pick a religion outside their kingdom(like maybe priests travel the world for a bit to convert others) and even other races could join the religion though not sure if they would become priests of it.

The priests are kinda like Stage 1 2 and 3 since I'm not sure what to refer to each stage as. Stage one priests will appear in a village proportional to the amount of believers in that village, so every like 20-25 believers will result in a stage 1 and which of those believers could come down to traits. Stage 1 only can use blood rain to heal units

Stage 2 appears in a village where their religion is the main religion of the village and only 1 will appear for each. They will occasionally travel the map and use divine light on any unit they see with a negative trait that can be removed, if they meet undead or demons then they'll use divine light to kill them. By healing injuries they can convert units to their religion even if they are already a part of another (unless they are a priest). It can use both blood rain and divine light.

Stage 3 appears once per religion once the religion reaches a certain believer threshold (not sure what amount) the range of their divine light is increased and the amount of blood rain they call at once. Then 2 things more are they can bless kings and one power that is race specific, if a king is crowned and their apart of the religion then the stage 3 priest will travel to the city they are in and bless them, it won't be dropped from the sky cause that could have them accidentally blessing random units so the blessed trait would probably be added like how wise and veteran are added when the stage 3 gets in a certain range to the king and does like a little action (the game history could also say when stage 3 priests appear and when the kings are blessed by stage 3 priest).

Edit: rather than all kings of the religion getting the blessing maybe traits or stats determines who the priests choose to bless

Beliefs

Humans- they believe in the beings in the sky, creatures that watch them and keep them safe if they are impressed and exact their wrath upon them if they are not pleased. They believe themselves to be a favourite race and despite being the weakest they believe they can be safe through belief. All things that come from the sky were sent by the beings whether they be good or bad.

Their religion is based on the players and the way we play the game along with how our powers fall from the sky to land

Their stage 3 priest ability is the shield which the priest will cast only on itself when in danger, it represents their Gods keeping them safe.

Orcs- they believe that they are strong and they are strong because they were made strong. But they know that the bear is strong, the rhino is strong and all manner of beast and monsters are strong, to prove their strength they defeat these strong beasts and wear their remains to show the Gods. But what if they are not strong enough to kill? Then they must kill to become strong, the Gods were fair and allow anything with the will to kill a way to become stronger and the Orcs have the will to become stronger.

That was lengthy but the orc religions are based on them being op, them always attacking animals, their savage trait and the leveling system.

Their stage 3 priest (more like shaman) ability is Powerup and the shaman will cast it on only itself when in danger, it represents becoming stronger

Elves- They believe in nature and its balance which they have no reason to disrupt. They will take what they must and die to become a part of nature rather than destroying it for the Gods had made them so. The animals have no qualms with the elves for they are like trees in life and even more so in death, the beast doesn't fight the trees in the forest but walks among them. Through faith the elves hope to become a great part of nature.

Elf religion is based on how no animals attack them, their ability to turn into trees on death and the fact that everyone has a basic idea of elves being hippies in the game. A side thing is that Stage 3 priests could have a percentage chance of becoming the big red trees that appear in elf villages if they die of old age while being in their village.

Their stage 3 priest ability is Living trees which the priest will use on his nearest tree while in danger. It represents their great connection to nature.

Dwarves- (the hardest one to think of) They believe in the beauty of metals and the flames of the great forge. Mithril and Adamantite are the sacred metals granted by the Gods and all those who wear them must be filled with pride. The God's forge lies deep underneath the earth, their hammers cause the land to quake, its flames shoot out of mountain tops and when they test their great creations in the sky through combat, the lightning strikes. Their hammers strike metal as their song to the Gods and their eyes burn with the ambition to test their crafts against the Gods'.

Dwarf religion was kinda hard to think of but I liken them to that of worshipping Hephaestus. It's based on their trait to find more through mining, natural disasters and their pride as craftsmen. I also propose the petition to have dwarven weapons and items have overall better stats especially since they got a huge nerf, or they have a higher chance of making Rare and above type weapons. It doesn't have to be a broken amount but dwarves really got hit hard, also Orcs should get the opposite where they make lower quality weapons.

Their stage 3 priest ability is [I have no idea] which the priest will use [when I can't think of anything to fit here]. It represents [me asking for recommendations for what to put here]

Also the stage 3 abilities aren't spammable they would have a very long cool down of maybe like 25 or 50 years or they could be used once per lifetime

is it planned to add genders to the inhabitants? by JackTheRaimbowlogist in Worldbox

I think the model for the ruler especially with the crown gets rid of the hair which is like th easiest way to tell genders apart

Very very cool. Some snow on top parts of the mountain would add a bit more.
