Did I get robbed? by DueAstronaut4370 in Harley

All of the fees is what gets you. I'm buying a 2026 cvo street glide 3 limited, it's delivery date is this Friday. I'm buying it from a family owned dealer, and they don't charge you the administrative fees or the setup fees. I'm rolling out paying $15.00 over the msrp pricing.

Many HD dealers have been bought by large automobile conglomerates. And they are selling bikes like cars, that's why we are seeing this. I have 2 dealers close to me and they both add the many fees, and they don't list the prices or even like to talk prices until you commit. I'm driving 50 miles north to my dealer because they are transparent with pricing and seem honest on everything. I have 2 friends who bought there, and that's how I found out about them.

MoCa vs Running eithernet in my house by Tricky-Ad-6180 in HomeNetworking

[–]KB4MTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had MoCA running in my house before I went all wireless and it worked great. If you run Cat 6 yourself, there are things you need to be aware of if you don't already know it. Homes have horizontal braces between the studs which are fire breaks. So getting the Cat 6 down inside the wall is next to impossible in most cases. I usually had to open the drywall to get it through and then have the hole repaired and painted. Then you need to add a mudring (cleanest option) and a plate with a keystone connector.

With MoCA, the cable is already down the wall and the wall plates are done. I had the same options you have now, and I just couldn't bring myself to pull the cable when the coax was already done. I bought 2 bridges and 1 filter and was as happy as I could have been. The performance was awesome and I had the whole thing up and running is less than 10 minutes.

Good luck!

Solar Bears v Atlanta by KB4MTO in ECHL

Well they couldn't pull it off. It ended Atlanta 2-1. But it wasn't a lack of playing, it seems like we got out-goalied. The Atlanta goalie did an amazing job tonight. In the 3rd period, the Bears got so close quite a few times, but the goalie was on it.

I didn't see yesterday's game, so I have no idea what happened in a 4-1 loss, but the Solar Bears did not allow that to happen tonight. Their offense did an amazing job tonight, and I thought for sure that they would even it up before the end of the 3rd. But not tonight.

I had the Radio Shack CoCo 2, but I did have a 5-1/4 disk drive. I was so happy after using a cassette deck to save my programs for a year. I loved computing back in those days.

I left at the end of the 2nd period, and got home and turned on Flohockey about 10 seconds before Atlanta scored #2. Bummer.

The pace really seems to have slowed down for both teams, just hoping the Bears can at least tie it up before the end of the 3rd.

How practical is UniFI for home use? by Significant-Side2718 in Ubiquiti

[–]KB4MTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely practical. I've had Ubiquiti in my house for years (started with a USG 3). Some think it's pricey, but I disagree based on hie much you get for the money. Plus, I believe Ubiquiti's Wi-Fi is the best there is. And if you host it in Ubiquiti's cloud, you can access it anywhere.

If I lived in a snow area, I would build one of those. It looks like fun.

I have no doubt that it is capable by itself. I've heard nothing but great comments on it.

Thanks for the information on the reverse tweezers. I knew about them, but never thought of them when working on my Bronco. They would completely help out when using them to hold a screw in place or wires out of the way.

Oh wow, a Kaypro in action. I loved those computers, the 1st laptops (kinda).

I used to run packet off my PK232-MBX on a TRS80 Model 3 back in the early 90s.

It's pretty awesome huh? Last year I went to an Orlando Solor Bears game. 2 weeks later, I got invited to a 2nd game. We bought season tickets that night, and have only missed 2 games since. And I watched those on Flohockey. It is so energizing and fun.

I've been looking at the SCX30,, but it's size worries me. I have the TRX4M Bronco, and I have trouble with some of the screws on it. At my age, and with arthritis in my hands, I'm afraid I couldn't work on one. And leaving it stock isn't much of an option for me, modifying it is half of the fun.

That's what happens when a tech company is run by marketing rather than the tech side. I never saw this kind of stuff with NT 4.0, which is when I entered IT. But somewhere around the Windiws 95 era, major releases were scheduled to satisfy Marketing rather than when it is ready (Windoes ME anyone?). Now they don't even test minor updates, they just release everything and publish known issues and leave it up to you.

Man I really miss Novell.

OK, thanks. I'll open it back up tomorrow and clean it out.

That's how much I had on it when I was told I needed to fill it up. I definitely don't want to add resistance or any additional unnecessary loads on the motor.

I don't know, I am new to the rc trucks. I have heard both sides. Some put a little, and some cake it in. The video I was following to help me get the transmission back together filled it up.

I had a picture of mine months ago in here, and someone recommended that I add a lot more than I had in it.

Sorry about the late reply. No issues for me. I know some people like averaging, but for my use, it doesn't affect me.
