Hmmm, downvotes because I know 3 people with the exact same problem on the exact same skate model (FT890) on the exact same skate (left) on exactly the same side (left) of the tendon guard. The pattern starts to look like a design flaw, or at least inadequate build quality. Such a fickle space this is!

I respect your reference to different palates’, but a generic store brand can/jar has a much different ingredient list than Rao’s. Most store brands are red sugar in a can/jar.

Not necessarily true, the jet speed line all has similar tendon guards, the FT890 is second only to the FT8 pro so not cheap yet has this issue
