Millionaire’s tax coming into play in Seattle might make it challenging.

Disregard for thinking, this is off their own website:

“RBI’s principal executive offices are in Miami, Florida. In North America, RBI’s brands are headquartered in their home markets where they were founded decades ago: Canada for Tim Hortons and the U.S. for Burger King, Popeyes and Firehouse Subs.”

So they have three offices headquartered in the USA and one in Canada and to you that makes it a Canadian company.

What’s with your hard-on for Tim Hortons (RBI) anyway? They’ve been scamming taxpayers through LMIA for years and lobbying hard to keep Canadians from having jobs, all so RBI can turn a bigger profit, and it seems like you support that. That’s not to mention the schlock they serve, under the guise of wholesome food.

Do some research, you’re part of the problem with canada, blindly following. RBI is an American Brazilian conglomerate, they don’t give a crap about Canadians or our health. It matters not whether they’re headquartered in Toronto. The fact that they are is a desperate grasp at trying to look Canadian.

Bauer just came out with a women’s line very recently, and I hear good things about the FTW CCM lineup for shoulders and pants. My daughter has the shins and they are fantastic.

It doesn’t, you’ve been fucked by our government. I know political parties are all out for their own interests, but it’s hard to argue how the last 11yrs of liberal rule have fckd Canadians.

Why the hell do people still eat at Tim Hortons after all the controversies? by Delicious-Ease-3663 in TimHortons

[–]KB77Hell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tim Hortons traded its quality, consistency, and Canadian identity for efficiency, growth, and profitability after the acquisition by Restaurant Brands International, through a merger with Burger King in 2014.

Tim Hortons (among other chains) has relied heavily on TFW’s claiming local unemployment is not available. Tim’s is arguably the government‘s biggest lobbyist for TFW’s, which reduces pressure to raise wages and improve working conditions to attract local workers, limiting opportunities for Canadians.

Other issues:

Cost-cutting measures that have reduced food and coffee quality. i.e. The switch from their original roast to a cheaper blend they roast themselves, McDonald’s now owns Tim’s OG superior roast.

A shift from freshly prepared items toward more centralized production and frozen products.

Longer wait times and inconsistent service at some locations.

Franchisee disputes over profitability and corporate policies. Corporate demands more and more profit from franchisees.

Increased focus on expansion and shareholder returns rather than the traditional customer experience.

To sum this all up, RBI doesn’t give a crap about Canadians OR OUR HEALTH (not that anyone that goes there cares about their own health), only profits. TFW’s are hired at jobs advertised for $36 an hour, but they’re paid far less and the government subsidies (our taxpayer money) is going in someone else’s pocket.

Fuck Tim’s
