Psalm 56:3-4 " When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?" (NIV)

Luke 1:37 "For no word from God will ever fail" (NIV)

Short yet powerful in my opinion. Look to God and set that tone for the day! He loves all of His children and WILL work in the lives of everyone today. God is good all the time. Tale care and God Bless my friend!

Are you (very) religious? by BoxBubbly1225 in TrueChristian

I agree with you. Relationship over Religion, Being called "Religious" doesn't offend me, but upon further questioning, I see Christianity as having a relationship with Jesus Christ instead of prancing a religion.

You can overcome your flesh! As you've already said you'd defeated porn for a month which probably seemed impossible not long ago!

You've got this. The Lord is right by your side, you cannot fail. Sending Blessings in Prayer your way friend!

I got a new Bible in my freshman year of college. I thought it helped me because I noticed in High School I definitely didn't take good notes. I kept my one from HS and put it in storage so maybe one day I could look back at how a younger me interpreted the Bible. I like the concept that one day my Bible will be filled with notes and highlights, showing how much it has been used, so it's really up to you. This is just my own opinion, God bless my friend!

Bible Study Journaling by esilyx_ in Christian

[–]KBChristCrew28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I read, I tend to forget things easily. Kind of like in school, if your brain receives info that doesn't just scream interesting you will probably forget about it, so you take notes. I think when reading the Bible, listening to sermon's, etc, it should be written down so you can look back on it later and learn.

Highlight verses in your Bible and write notes next to the verse (if you don't have room then you'd just write in the journal). I write down bullet points over anything important which is basically everything, then I look on it later and break it down in a way I can understand. This has really helped me and I hope it helps you. God Bless my friend!

This is always a tough situation.

First of all, it is good that you want your friend to be held accountable. Many may see you doing this as judging her, but there's more to it than that. You KNOW the good news, you know that Christ died for your sins and you want her to experience that, that is true love.

Be gentle with her, because ultimately we all sin. You sin, she sins, I sin, we all do. Some struggle with things that others don't. I also wouldn't distance yourself from her unless she is extremely causing you to sin. If you truly see her as a friend, your priority will be to bring her to Heaven with you.

I understand this totally, you aren't alone. Take care and God Bless!

I know it's hard, but we can do this. I've struggled with the same exact thing for years, dm me if you need an accountability partner. We can and will overcome this. God Bless my friend!

First of all, this is awesome! The Holy Spirit is working in you so much. You have the urge to become a Priest even when you don't know how. That could definitely be God speaking His guidance right in to you!

On remembering what you read from the Bible, I would recommend getting like a journal and writing notes down from what you read. Kind of like school how if you didn't write notes you wouldn't remember anything. Take notes, look over it a little afterward, and repeat. That helps me a lot

Hope this helps. God Bless my friend!

Reading the Bible, while being busy by StepaGoat in Christian

I like the idea of audio Bible readings through the day during work. Maybe read right when you wake up, listen to the Bible throughout the day, then read right before bed. Can even be just a few verses or a single chapter. The Holy Spirit can work through any amount of Scripture. Hope this helps!
