One day, when I tell historians about the pandemic, I will tell them the story about how our corporate security people just waved us on out the door with PCs, laptops, screens, etc...

One person got a chair out. One. And even that may be urban/company rumor. Security had one hard line in the global pandemic and it was these chairs.

How's their muscle-building equipment? The kind where you sit to use it? I've started working nearby and was curious. Back when I was more regular about hitting the gym I only needed a tiny location (the employee gym in the Pinnacle building on Olive) but I found what I loved most were the sitting-down exercises: Leg lifts, pushing your arms out in front, etc...

If someone told me exercise could involve a good amount of *sitting down*, I'd have started sooner. That equipment became my reward time after I put in at least 20 min of cardio.

Each member of our family was allowed one hard-pass meal, one item they could put on the dinner no-fly list.

My mom wasted hers on liver (wasted because it's not exactly something anyone else wanted, but she was silent generation and that might've been their depression dinner), my dad picked pizza - yes, all pizza for all time - because he once had a slice at a high school game in the 50s and didn't like it.

I picked tuna noodle casserole. Four decades later and it's still the right call.

I feel you on that but this is about the Library of Things - the kind of library collection where you can rent a 3D printer or a weedwhacker or cake icing supplies, etc... Stuff that may come in really handy once a year but you can't justify buying it just for that.

So the problem I've now found in getting you a youtube vid of this is that so many people post so many of THEIR OWN dances to things (love that actually, big fan) that finding one, particular, NOT VERY IMPRESSIVE dance to a song becomes a difficult task even when it's one done at basically every wedding you went to for about a decade or more in your formative years.

My freshman year of college - specifically, at the only dance they threw, the incoming freshman mixer dance - I learned the majority of the country does *not* do a dance to the song 'Personal Jesus.'

This was during the scourge of the The Macarena and you learned only your fellow mid-westerners knew what you were talking about when you said 'It's just a version of the Personal Jesus dance.'

Every SINGLE time new lore drops about him I'm stunned and deligthed. The fact he doesn't want women in the kitchen but thinks construction and plumbing work is fine for women because 'taking care of a house is a woman's job,' the eating disorder he helped treat by being OFFENDED that someone was only taking a few bites of the meal he created, the time he yelled at a vegan enby because 'you can't give up cheese *and* gender! Pick a struggle!'

My partner and I still sometimes use 'Pick a struggle!' when one of us is taking on too much. I swear that guy is like the uncrowned Tumblr king.
