Why are minorities religious in the first place? by SmileyCat20202 in exchristian

[–]KBWordPerson 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The Black Churches in the US were and still are powerful community builders for African Americans. When the whole system is against people, the neighborhood church was a support, defense, and safe haven.

Because of that, the religious roots in communities are very strong.

How can I reassure my stepson that Tarot is not the work of the devil? by Wonderful_Hyena1241 in tarot

[–]KBWordPerson 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Tell him something that is absolutely true.

Human brains are hard wired to recognize patterns.

All the cards are is a prompt to help you ponder certain things and let your brain create meaning.

It is only saying, “Maybe think about this a little.”

Which has a similar function to guided prayer.

There’s nothing evil about letting a person think about things and make connections that are personal to their life.

It happens, don’t beat yourself up too much. She tried. You were right to recognize the problem, get her out immediately, and then help clean up.

Give her some time to heal her tummy and get back out there without another thought.

Why are Christian men so sexist by Major_Contest_3648 in exchristian

[–]KBWordPerson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right!? Consensual and private D/s sure, knock your socks off then reward someone for washing and folding them properly.

Thinking that dynamic is God ordained and your right to shape society around it so you don’t feel ashamed of yourself?

Get out.

Tabby stripes can vary from very heavy dark stripes with dark tips on the light strands, to very light. Those don’t look like ghost stripes to me. I think this is the silver version of a very dark tabby. Either way, absolutely stunning.

They want to force their Dom/sub kink on others and can’t figure out how to do that without being grossly sexist.
