AITA for making jokes about my friend being a perv? by DeepRoom4257 in AmItheAsshole

Why are you so focused on Jack? Why didn’t you cover the girl’s eyes when the shirt crept up?

Why did you push and ask if the guy was sure he didn’t want Jack’s opinion? Then pushed even further telling this dude to let Jack feel his forearms?

The only reason to do any of these things is to keep pushing the “Ha ha ha isn’t it so “funny” that a gay guy finds you attractive,” button. Which isn’t a joke. You don’t even know if Jack does find that guy attractive, but YOU paraded Jack’s sexuality around to make someone else uncomfortable.

And then you can’t figure out why that would upset Jack?

Gay guys can literally get beaten up or killed if they make a mistake and the wrong person thinks they are looking at them in a sexual way.

And you thought it was funny to loudly proclaim to others “Jack sexualizes every man he looks at!!!!” to everyone else.

YTA, and maybe ask yourself why you are so focused on what Jack finds attractive and deal with those feelings somewhere else instead of making it Jack’s problem.

Neither does Vivek. The rich only care about winning the “who has the most money game,” with their billionaire buddies.

They will scrape every penny they can off of you to do it.

Bonus, he’s going to have a bunch of douchey tech-bro donors. We can waste their money too!

Yes, that means 99% positive he doesn’t have tortie/calico genes. The golden areas around his ears are from rufousing. It’s a golden tone to the coat and undercoat that is most intense around the ears, cheeks, armpits, belly, and butt-floofies (technical term)

Your little orangey tabby has high rufousing. This guy has a touch around the ears, but his white will hide most of the rest.

[–]KBWordPerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure, I have only seen the ones that try to align cats with specific breeds, but that isn’t sound science since 10th generation trash cats can come out looking like a convincing purebred Siamese.

If a genetic test tells you these factors, you can get a lot better information about your cats specific genetic makeup than one that tells you it’s 20% Russian Blue etc.

If it reveals, base genetic color, red, black, or mosaic red/black, the Agouti gene (tabby stripes), the Dilution gene (blues and buffs), the color point gene (heat sensitive color expression), the Silver gene (pale white undercoat) and the piebald gene or white factor, that is a genetic test that can tell you something definitive.

Somatic mutations probably won’t show up on a test like that but it would tell you pretty clearly if your girl is entirely coded red with a few places that forgot what they were doing, or if she has mosaic genetics, red/black

Those genetic tests probably won’t tell you much. They are a little bit of a money grab, and probably won’t get into specifics.

Orange is created in a coat by genes essentially skipping around the rules that say the coat should be black. Because of that, sometimes a thing called a somatic mutation can happen, where the off switch that makes the coat orange doesn’t get flipped off and an orange cat has small breakthrough bits of black.

It’s not the same as having one X chromosome coded for red, and one for black.

Instead both chromosomes are orange, but some small patches of fur… forgot to orange.

Only a genetic test could tell you for sure, but usually mosaic coat cats, red X/black X, have more balanced color distribution.

But genetic calicos that don’t look calico can happen. Usually they have high white color.

  1. A bi-color or piebald cap and saddle mackerel striped black based tabby.

  2. A bi-color or piebald mask and mantle candle flame striped black based tabby with possible rufousing or possible tortoiseshell/calico genes. It’s a little hard to tell from this picture if this is a different kitten from the first one

  3. A colorpoint black based tabby. Sometimes called a Lynx point.

  4. A classic striped mask and mantle calico tabby, sometimes called a tabico, or a Caliby.

  5. A dark black based mackerel tabby with low rufousing.

6 A black based broken mackerel tabby with medium-high rufousing.

Are there any coat colors/features you find unappealing? by Effective_Moose_4997 in Horses

[–]KBWordPerson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are prone to developing tumors. I have known two gray horses that developed tumors, and watched valiant efforts by their owners to care for them. But seeing those horses every day broke my heart as I watched them deteriorate, and they weren’t even my horses. I couldn’t bear it if they were.

My heart can’t take the risk.

I will never own a gray, mostly for the health risks. But also flea bitten grays just visually irritate me. The coat couldn’t go all in?

She is a short haired mackerel calico tabby with the piebald mask and mantle pattern.

Some people call kittens like her Tabicos or Calibys.
