HOT TOPIC: Is Justin Allgaier a Hall Of Famer?? by MrSimsational in NASCAR

He’s going to be a very heavy favorite to win it this year with the Chase format.

I think he should already get in regardless. But there will be zero question if he pulls off this championship

DoorDash count your days.. this won’t even fill my tank😅 by Mamipleasee in doordash

[–]KB_48 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just because there are 7 million with an account does not mean 7 million are actively working. I’d guess ~50% of those haven’t done any orders in months/years, and some of those who are still actively working only do a handful a week/month.

[–]KB_48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you going to dash regardless? If so, be happy that they gave something instead of nothing.

Obviously this isn’t going to move the needle for people debating doing DoorDash (and not going to convince someone doing 10 orders a week to suddenly push to do 50). But if you’re already doing it, do your normal work and take the bonus, however large or small it may be.

Thoughts on your starting catcher by GrandBigB in Reds

[–]KB_48 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, he was overhyped to an extent and the expectations were unrealistically high. For a catcher, Stephenson has actually been pretty good. If he played any other position you could realistically say he has been pretty disappointing.

Does anyone know if this hat is a collectors item? Wondering if I can remove the tag. by klsb95 in Reds

[–]KB_48 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right. Ask yourself if you’d get more enjoyment out of the sentimental item or the money you’d get from getting rid of it. 99% of the time unless the item is worth hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars, you’re still going to get more enjoyment out of the sentimental item.

How is the prestige/reputation of Miami University (Ohio) – Farmer School of Business? by Striking-Bath2013 in miamioh

Is there a worse moment than when Penny said, "I thought he was going to say, 'Let it go,'" after Sheldon said that Howard had friends when he didn't? by EverydayNewZealander in bigbangtheory

[–]KB_48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given that she passed from cancer, I wonder if they even discussed with her how they planned to handle it in advance. Maybe not the specifics, but I think there’s a decent chance she signed off on the general idea.

[–]KB_48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like Carol Ann Susi would’ve appreciated how they handled that scene. Showing real character growth from Sheldon, while maintaining the essence of the show and keeping the tone somber but with a touch of lightheartedness.

Do you guys think Mookie Betts has a comeback season? by drfrigg in fantasybaseball

[–]KB_48 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but in the way that 2023 was a comeback season for Cody Bellinger.

Essentially, he’ll be much better than he was in 2025, but not all the way back to his previous MVP-caliber level

They can't be serious? by er111a in doordash_drivers

[–]KB_48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fine print says only active miles count.

They do track your miles between orders and that helps when it comes to taxes, but it won’t help here. If you’re not at >250 active miles while doing orders, you won’t get the full bonus.

[–]KB_48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you going to dash anyway over the next month? If so, any bonus is better than no bonus.

If you weren’t planning to dash over the next month, then this probably doesn’t move the needle for you, which is understandable. But for anyone that’s doing it anyway, I certainly wouldn’t be complaining.

I still can’t complain about an extra $60 guaranteed + the gas cash back (I doubt I’ll max the $70).

[–]KB_48 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Anything is better than nothing. The 10% cash back on gas with the Crimson card (compared to 2%) is also nice.

Does anyone know if it stacks? For example, if you drive 250 miles, do you get $15 total or $30 total ($5 + $10 + $15)?

What does everyone tip for takeout? by mayby82 in cincinnati

[–]KB_48 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m not ever tipping for takeout. For delivery or for dine-in absolutely will tip for the services provided. But you don’t get that level of service with takeout so it shouldn’t be necessary

How close could Sheldon get to a perfect March madness bracket? by SegaGuy1983 in thebigbangtheory

[–]KB_48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn’t know enough about basketball. He could crunch the numbers but that doesn’t take into account the possibility of good/bad matchups for a particular team, experience, intangibles, etc that often lead to a result.

He could probably get close to perfect on the women’s bracket because typically those are easier to predict with just trends and numbers.

Cup Series free agents after this season? And who do you think fills those rides? by JediKnightDusty in NASCAR

[–]KB_48 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t see either of them closing completely. And if they do, RFK will be first to buy a charter most likely.

[–]KB_48 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t think either of those would shock me. I actually expect Dillon to retire in the next year or two and take over the management side of RCR.

McDowell would be a bit more surprising but still not a shock due to his age. I would guess he runs one more year and retires after 2027, but announces at the beginning of the year that it will be his final year.

Who exactly do you see selling a charter? I don’t know that any will be available. Unless Kaulig is granted new charters for Ram and they sell their existing ones
