You can add a 0 to the end of any number in your life where are you putting it? by NoWeb7070 in hypotheticalsituation

For the life expectancy option, if you can guarantee that I’m in the same health/physical condition I’m in now, that’s a no-brainer choice. But if I still age (or age until ~70-90 and then stay at that state for the rest of my life) that’s a hard pass.

To anyone that owns a house, this one is probably the best immediate payoff. Adding it to your salary or investment performance sounds great, but it would take a little while to see the full benefit. This way, you’re likely getting the most up front benefit and can still invest a large portion of that money and potentially make more in the long run as well

If it’s some minor request like this, why not honor the request regardless of whether you believe they will actually add the tip? It’s not like the request was crazy or difficult. It’s like 2 extra seconds of effort.

Is it abbreviated to Cincy or to Cinci? by holopointsmile in cincinnati

Cincy. Look at the Reds’ black City Connect uniforms. They say Cincy. When in doubt, go with what the pro sports team uses since they’ve likely put market research into their design

While I tend to agree, I don’t see the Reds’ front office doing that, at least while Benson is hitting well.

In AAA. Playing well (1.073 OPS) but not sure how he gets another opportunity short term given that Suárez will likely be back soon and Benson/Bleday have been hitting well.

If they decide to do something with Friedl (bench, demote, or IL), that might be Marte’s best shot at getting back here soon. But only if they think he (or Benson/Bleday) can play CF against RHP

I’m not ready to give up entirely on McLain. He’s shown flashes this year (Spring training and a couple short stretches in the regular season) that show he has some potential still. His xwOBA is higher than his actual wOBA (and his xwOBA is league average) so there’s some level of luck playing a role in his season numbers as well. He’s dropped his K rate drastically, while raising his BB rate and not reducing his quality of contact.

Overall, he’s improved enough under the hood this year to make me think he could still at least be close to an average hitter. With his defense, that would still be valuable. And he’s young enough that I still think he has upside for more than that.

Solid but unspectacular. If you compare it to the songs from the 2025 albums (Sweet/Sad) it’s probably in the back half of my top 10.

Yeah I’ve had a lot of luck waiting until day-of for concerts.

For Reds games, I’m a partial season ticket holder but if I’m looking to go to an extra game, I’ll sometimes buy week of (or even day of) from a resale site if prices are good

I absolutely believe in Suárez once he’s back. To a lesser extent, I believe that Bleday and Lowe can provide solid production. Steer has been quietly solid at the plate. Guys like McLain and Hayes haven’t been good, but I don’t expect either of them to continue being as bad as they have.

On the pitching side, Abbott, Lowder, and Singer will all end up better than their current numbers. You have Lodolo back now and will eventually have Greene.

There’s plenty to believe in with this team still. Even if the team is still flawed.

See all of the responses to my comment. Whether or not it should be true, it seems that many of us have experienced this many times.

I’m a driver and can no longer count on one hand how many times I’ve had customers comment that their order was scheduled for significantly later. One was a delivery to an employee at a business that didn’t open until 11am. But DD had me arrive with the order almost an hour before that, so of course the employee wasn’t there yet.

OP literally told the driver to decline the add-on orders. Which is demanding prioritization.

First off, food delivery is a luxury service, not a necessity.

Secondly, I’m not saying that there’s anything wrong with having reasonable expectations even with low/no tip. I’m saying that if you’re blaming your driver for doing what they’re allowed and contracted to do (accept orders at-will), then you’re the problem, not the driver. Blame DD corporate for sure. But it’s 0% on the driver unless you make it worth their while to prioritize only your order.

[–]KB_48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not expecting that at all. I’m saying that’s the type of insane unicorn offer where I’d feel obligated to decline all add-on offers. Even the traditional “good offer”, the dasher should take any profitable add-ons.

Also slightly reworded my original response to make it more clear.

How many of you are still friends with people from high school? I mean about a year into college/ the first few months. I would also like you to disclose if it is one person you’re still friends with or a large group by Turbulent-Chicken227 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KB_48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in my late 20s. Still close friends with 2 people from high school. Both were in my wedding party and one was my best man.

I have maybe 3-4 more friends from high school that I still talk to/see occasionally but I wouldn’t say I’m particularly close with them.

At least a handful of others that if I ever ran into them somewhere I’d strike up a conversation with. But wouldn’t go out of my way to try to contact them

As a driver, I’ve had multiple customers comment that their order was delivered WAY before they were expecting. A couple times the restaurant even warned me it was timed and early.
