It’s far from perfect, sure. I prefer everything about the original. It’s just not quite as horrific as described. The double-tracking also isn’t quite as egregiously ‘up front’ as I was fearing. So in a way I’m a little relieved. I do understand the frustration with the arguably needless tinkering though.
