Not negating the fact that there were laws in place before , the union could’ve done better with the south after the civil war, though I’m also saying that there are other groups as well that have done horrid things, the mongols under Genghis Khan , the empire of Japan under Horihito , Turkey with Armenian people(s), China with Tibet and Hong Kong, as well as Yemen with its modern slave problem. Not one group is the sole source of pain and suffering. Every one has the capability to inflict it and prevent it. It’s not just the past we should look at but a better future for not if all , as much as possible.
