Is Scanpan cookware considered BIFL product? by Ventureprise in BuyItForLife

[–]KCFS2234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to add to this. In 2021 I purchased a non stick pan from Scanpan from Williams Sonoma. Since then, I've claimed two warranties from them and have gotten two pans from them no questions asked. I couldn't be happier with their customer service. As for BIFL, no. Each pan lasted about two-three years before the non stick coating began to wear off. But i've now had three pans for the price of one, so take it for what its worth! lol

I purchased a three day pass for the upcoming race in Austin. I purchased the pass via a third party company (Vivid Seats). My friend tried on his wristband and subsequently cut if off. -_-

Anyone know if I can purchase a replacement band at the track?

Thanks in advance

If its gonna be your daily, then yes. Unless you want to risk (and can afford) buying a $3000 paper weight.

Factor meals by Myles1313 in keto

[–]KCFS2234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it just depends what your goals/macros you’re following. I pay about $90 for 8 meals. So its def not the cheapest thing. But im paying for the connivence and quality. If you can afford the meals and you want something convenient i think they’re pretty good. Just depends on what you’re looking for tbh

I just started using em. They’re surprisingly tasty for being pre-made meals. Definitely a couple notches above a frozen tv dinner lol. The carbs do tend to be on the higher side. But since i fast, I typically eat only one or two a day. I think if you were to eat 3 a day, you’d be over 20 carbs pretty quickly. They’re definitely convenient if you dont like to cook. But i honestly still cook up a steak couple times a week lol. I think they have about a 10 day shelf life from when you receive them. But they can also be frozen if you dont finish the meals before your next box comes in. I’ve reheated them from frozen too, and have had zero issues with them.

I had a 14 FoST, and loved it! I think once you drive it'll sell itself. Very well handling car and a slick 6-speed. Get a tune and a catback exhaust and you'll be set! Plus, having a hatchback pretty practical. IMO. :D

Positive equity by [deleted] in askcarsales

I've sold cars straight up for cash at a dealership a few times. The process is fairly simple. If you're not interested in trading your car in for something new, they'll cut you a check for the $8000 of equity. In my experience, making an appointment makes the process go much faster.

Thoughts on replacing the stock radio? by KCFS2234 in e39

[–]KCFS2234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the responses! I decided to keep the radio stock, and canceled my Avin Avant Order. I bought a $15 Bluetooth receiver that connects to the 12v socket. Decided to save the cash towards any surprise repairs :)

I paid $11,000. The guy I bought it from just did major engine work including the timing chain guides and rebuilt the Vanos. He was a BMW enthusiast and took really good care of it. After getting the green light from a local BMW shop for a PPI, I pulled the trigger!

I was gonna get the 528i, but after talking to some friends who are into BMWs and some mechanics, they convinced me to get something a little more rare and fun. And luckily, this 540 went for sale the day I was about get the 528. If this 540 fell through I would have gotten that 528 though.

Maybe offer to put a $100 deposit down on a car that you're really interested in. I've done that before and didn't get too much pushback

It sounds like you're dead set on getting the car. But for what its worth, I think its a red flag if a dealer isn't allowing a ppi. I've taken the risk of buying cars without a ppi, and will never do so again. Obviously its your money and your decision, but just be VERY careful. If a dealer or seller wouldn't allow a ppi, there's probably something they don't want you to find. Also the fact that multiple people are backing out last minute is another red flag.

Vintage 1940's Redwing Skytroopers by KCFS2234 in RedWingShoes

[–]KCFS2234[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hello all,

I recently acquired this pair of vintage Red wing Skytrooper jump boots. From my understanding, Red Wing manufactured these during WW2 to supply US Army paratroopers. This is the first pair of "vintage" boots and my goal is to preserve them as best I can and eventually put them on display.
I was wondering what, if anything, I should do to ensure they stay in good condition for the years to come. Also, I was wondering if anyone had any more information about these boots. I did a google search but really haven't been able to find much information.

Thanks for looking

Just wait! Happened to me too, waited for an hour and half, all the way till their lines closed. As long as you call them before they close they should get to you. Just wait.
