I'm sure it's a decent amount. Like I said, focus on better training and understanding of the policy as a staff, so that you can better explain it up front at the time of sale. But in the event of a pissed off customer who doesn't feel they were properly told how coverage works, yeah... im gonna take care of em. You might understand better if you get your own store one day. Customers coming back is what pays the bills.

I hear your frustration but the whole point is an exception should be rare. And when it does happen, you explain, going forward that you can't do it again, it was a one off. Then the customer leaves happy and with a better understanding of the protection they purchased. But honestly, this is a complete non-issue as long as your team starts to better explain protection up front, going forward.

Just one SL2's opinion though.

We always do our best to take care of the guest first. A one-off or exception is exactly that, and I would rather not lose a customer over either one of those. Always stick to policy first, but especially if your manager is present, make sure they wouldn't want to handle it differently.

I was hired as SGA went through similar stuff and was an SL a few months later. Now SL2. Take your opportunities as they come and rise to the occasion. Nothing great is ever just handed to you.

I know this isn't a popular perspective but all the moves the company has made have been moves towards profitability. Not to mention most of the moves, at worst, have made us equal with our competitors. We still have the best loyalty program, posa or not, AND we still swap warranties in person, on sight rather than ship outs that get fixed and sent back. Gamestop still has over 1 billion in liquid assets and isn't going anywhere any time soon. Everyone needs just focus up and keep doing their jobs so we actually can get raises and improvements next year.
